
Emilia Isobel Euphemia Rose Clarke (born October 23, 1986) is an English actress best known for her iconic role as Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s Game of Thrones (2011–2019), earning four Primetime Emmy Award nominations. She has also starred as Sarah Connor in Terminator: Genisys (2015), Qi’ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), and led the romantic dramas Me Before You (2016) and Last Christmas (2019). Clarke trained at Drama Centre London and made her television debut in Doctors (2009). She made her Broadway debut as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s (2013), and later starred as Nina in a West End production of The Seagull. In 2023, she joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as G’iah in the miniseries Secret Invasion.
