このバラの名前の由来ですが、スウェーデン出身でハリウッドで活躍した大女優、イングリッド・バーグマンから名付けられました。
世界バラ会連合で、何万品種もあるバラの中から「栄誉の殿堂入り」を果たした大変な名花です。
この薔薇はハイブリッドティーローズで、デンマークのPoulsen Roser A/Sによって1983年に作出されました。四季咲き性で鮮やかな赤色です。半剣弁高芯咲きで、雨に打たれても花形が崩れません。輝くような色彩は、特に素晴らしく、大女優の名を頂くにふさわしい品種です。切り花としても大変楽しめます。樹形は木立性で樹高は120～150cmです。

It is a very famous flower that was inducted into the Hall of Honour by the World Federation of Rose Societies from among tens of thousands of rose varieties.
This rose is a hybrid tea rose, created by Poulsen Roser A/S, Denmark, in 1983. It is a four-season bloomer with a bright red colour. It has a semi-sword-petalled, high-centred flower, which does not lose its shape when exposed to rain. The shining colours are particularly wonderful, making it a variety worthy of the name ‘Grand Dame’. It is also very pleasing as a cut flower. The tree is upright and grows to a height of 120-150 cm.
