Hikaru Genji (光GENJI) was a Japanese pop music idol boy group named after the character Hikaru Genji (光源氏) of The Tale of Genji (源氏物語). They were managed by Japanese talent agency Johnny & Associates from 1987 to 1995. From 1994 to 1995, the band was known as Hikaru GENJI SUPER 5.

Hikaru Genji was one of the top teen idol pop bands in Japan during the early 1990s. The group released 29 singles, 21 albums and 16 videos during the eight years they were together.
