Overview:Ten-year-old Violetta (Anamaria Vartolomei) lives with her grandmother, and her mother, Hannah (Isabelle Huppert), a fledgling photographer, is away all the time and rarely cares for the family. That is, until one time when she comes home unexpectedly and begins to entice Violetta to be her model, dressing her up as a gorgeous, dark, seductive little princess for a series of stunning photographs that become the talk of Paris. While Hannah earns a place in her coveted high society, Violetta encounters ridicule and ostracism at school. However, realizing that her daughter’s virginity is the key to her fame, Hannah’s relationship with her daughter deteriorates as she goes further and further, even threatening to have Violetta photographed having coitus with a man. With Hannah refusing to give up and Violetta no longer wanting to be manipulated by her, the tug-of-war between mother and daughter is on the verge of falling apart. ……
