Wazuka Tea Plantation, Kyoto –
Wazuka Town, known as “Chagenkyo” (Teatopia), is located in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture. As a major producing area of Uji tea, it is a member of “The Most Beautiful Villages in Japan” association and was designated as a Japan Heritage site in 2015 as part of the “800-Year History Walk of Japanese Tea.” I was deeply moved by the beautiful, deep green geometric patterns of the tea fields spreading across the gentle mountain slopes (captured in early September). Please sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery.
