They know how to put a good firework display in Japan, just awesome to watch.
This made my inner child so happy, I’ve been obsessed with fireworks since I was little, and this just brought all that joy back. I have to visit there knowing now they have the fireworks festival three times a year 😯
Such an amazing episode. Thanks John!

Leo didnt cry when the kakigori fell off. A good learning curve for kids of his age.. Its okay to fail. U can always get back up. Good kid..

I can add the Superman theme in my head as I watch the video. I want to experience this festival one day. Thanks for sharing John
Well this is a nice Christmas surprise. Have to share this with my son. Merry Christmas from Pennsylvania, John and family and the whole OIJ community. Looking forward to what 2026 will bring.
This video was FANTASTIC!!! I am a HUGE Fireworks Fan!!! And I LOVED you previous video about the Yonshakudama (pardon my spell tho) – This was a great way to show what it would be like as a family to go on a short weekend trip, if you live in Japan lol – It's a shame that more people to know about Japan's amazing Firework festivals and competitions, and just how many shows there are in the summer! I would LOVE to be able to spend a summer in Japan, just going to all the different festivals, and learning what they are about. There is just SO MUCH MIND BLOWING HISTORY in Japan that I personally think is so much more interesting than the 'Western History' we were taught here in the States. Maybe I find it more interesting because its such a different culture, but I find it all exciting and fascinating!
THANK YOU JOHN! This was a great video! You're living the dream my man! God Bless You and Your Family, and Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Saw Peter Von Gomm voiced over the new Yakuza Kiwami 2 while I was watching @cohhcarnage! 😀
Nice video
Awesome :0
No coats?! What month were you there or filmed video? Summer?
Now winter.
Beautiful video, John! Thank you and holiday best wishes to you and your family 💗🎉
Enjoyed the fireworks festival 🎇🎆🧨🎆🎇🧨
The Inn was absolutely amazing, and the architect was a genius to incorporate the wood in such a creative way. The layout blended old and new seamlessly, with no glaring differences, into one fluid motion.
The fireworks display reminded me of a Fireworks show that we got to see up close in Montreal, QC, back in the late 80s. Have a Great Christmas!
Good morning jon boy
So cool, thanks for your work and sharing, John ! I did my part and shared it on my Facebook page hihi…
Those fireworks are just stunning, it must've been transcendental to see them in person!

Wow! I really enjoyed your video! Attending one of the Omagari Fireworks Festivals is truly a bucketlist experience for me. Do you know if there are any tours that are exclusively for one of the fireworks festivals in Omagari? If you do, I would really appreciate any links to them. Thanks for your amazing work! Give my regards to Kanae and Leo!

At risk of being a Karen….I noticed your boy didn't thank the vendor for the shaved ice. Is he ok?
Great video John. Akita was already on my to visit list this video just reinforces it.
Yay, I love fireworks!
Another great video John. I wish Japan had a retirement visa as I'm retiring soon and would love to spend more time exploring this great country. Inspiring videos like this are giving me ideas to travel on short tourist visas in the meantime. Please keep them coming!
What camera did you use for the wide shots? They look amazing and crisp!!! (I am not talking about the 360)
Hey uncle John the experience was surreal 😊. Countryside Japan always bring suprises. Brother Leo is slowly turning to be a fine gentlemen. Hoping to visit Japan in atleast 2 years from now 😊.
