【長崎観光】絶品グルメの連続!壱岐島のグルメと観光を堪能するドライブ旅行が最高すぎた!壱岐島旅行vlog

Our destination this time is Iki Island, a remote island in Nagasaki Prefecture, Kyushu . By the way, Iki Island is located here. It is a remote island in Nagasaki Prefecture, floating in the Genkai Sea in Kyushu, and can be reached by high-speed boat from Hakata Port in about an hour, or by plane from Nagasaki Airport in about 30 minutes. Enjoy fresh seafood caught in the Genkai Sea , the famous Iki beef , and the rare scenery and beautiful ocean views. This time, we will be spending four days and three nights on Iki Island . Please be sure to watch until the end. Arriving at Haneda Airport , we boarded Solaseed Air from Haneda Airport to Nagasaki Airport , then transferred from Nagasaki Airport to head to Iki Island. I’m here now. Before I knew it, I was fast asleep. The weather is fine for now. I think we’re already over Kyushu. A beautiful view is spreading out before us . We’ll soon be landing at Nagasaki Airport . We’ve landed at Nagasaki Airport. There’s still quite a bit of time until our flight to Iki Island, so we’ll head to Sun Spa Omura for now. Good morning. It’s been a while since I’ve been to Nagasaki Prefecture. It’s been a while since my last visit, since July. This time, I’m in Nagasaki Prefecture, and I’m going to a remote island for three nights and four days. It’s my first time in my life going to Iki Island. I missed my flight, so I left first thing in the morning. English : Anyway, my flight to Iki Island is at 3:50 PM, so I have about six hours left. I’ll kill some time around here before heading there. For now, it’s still 9 AM and they’re not open , but the sauna, hot springs , and karaoke are open, so I’ll kill some time around here and then head to Iki Island. There are various facilities over there. At the back there are the sauna, hot springs, arcade, karaoke, and restaurants. Five hours is a bit boring . I ended up coming here first thing in the morning, so I could have just slept at the airport for about five hours, but it’s been a while since I’ve been here, so I decided to come. There ‘s this glass beach outside, so I’m going to go see it. It’s so amazing, the sparkling glass reflects things beautifully. The airport is over there, but I have to cross a long bridge, so it’s tough to get there without taking the bus. There are no rental cars, and the only rental cars are on this side. I have to get there by taxi or bus (if using a rental car). It’s so peaceful. The scenery is amazing, and with the palm trees it really feels like a tropical paradise. There were a lot of buses coming. I guess there are a lot of buses going from Nagasaki Airport to Nagasaki Station, Chinatown , or Huis Ten Bosch. At first glance, you’d think that touching these glass shards might cut your hands, but that’s not the case. The corners are rounded off, so they’re not sharp or anything. It doesn’t hurt or cut your hands. I’ll just bask in the sun for a bit. Next, there’s Sanpao Omura on this side (the same place as before), so I’ll kill time there . I ended up killing time at a nearby karaoke bar before returning to the airport. There was a crab in the hallway of the karaoke bar, which I couldn’t believe! I still have time before my flight, so I’ll go on a food tour of Nagasaki Airport. I bought some Nagasaki specialties and now I’m going to try them . Curry and braised pork belly Manhatoshi roll with cheese flavor . Thank you for the meal. I’m about to board a propeller plane to Iki Island for the first time in my life . I’ll take that plane with ORC written on it and head to Iki Island. 帰りましたらちょっとありがとう English: We were told we would arrive in about 30 minutes and my seat was right in front of the propeller. Looking at it like this, it’s really big and really fast . Oh, it’s scary . At first I was a little scared but it wasn’t as shaky as I thought it would be. Looking at the beach from above, this is what it looks like. It’s incredibly beautiful . And finally, it’s my first ever landing on Iki Island. We landed safely and arrived at Iki Island . Iki Airport is so cute . I don’t often get to ride in a propeller plane in my life . It wasn’t as shaky as I thought it would be. So we arrived safely on Iki Island. The flight was over in a flash. It was really less than 30 minutes . Oh, it was really winding. Maybe about 25 or 20 minutes. Anyway, there ‘s a beach near the airport so maybe we should go and enjoy the ocean view. Before the sun goes down, there are two beaches on the east side of Iki Airport, Ohama and another one. Shall we go to the beach on the north side? What do you mean, Tsutsukihama, Tsutsukihama beach. Ah, but it was okay. It was originally like this this week , there ‘s a typhoon . Is it going to hit Kyushu directly? That’s how it felt, but it was a really sharp curve , and it curved all the way to Chiba Prefecture, so Kyushu was almost over. It was dangerous . Tsutsukihama is on the right, or is it 700 meters away? I wonder if I’ll reach the beach. Arriving . There isn’t a single car parked here. It’s October, so there aren’t many people around , so it looks like it will be easy to sightsee. I’m here. This is my first time on Iki Island . It’s an island I’ve always wanted to visit. Wow, it’s a beautiful curved beach. There is a beautiful audio guide that goes around in circles . Tsutsukihama here is It’s a natural white sand beach that boasts the most beauty on Iki Island, and has been certified as one of Japan’s top 100 swimming beaches and one of Japan’s top 100 beaches . The sound of the waves is surprisingly amazing. It’s a little cloudy, and it’s late at night , so the view isn’t very bright, but the beach is really beautiful. The temperature is just right , it’s like a wash; it’s neither too hot nor too cold, and I’m just wearing a short-sleeved shirt. My partner is running around having fun. I thought the waves might be weak because it’s an island, but they were surprisingly strong . The sand is quite soft. The waves are sinking faster than I expected ! The real sightseeing starts tomorrow, so I’ll check into the hotel, take a walk around the neighborhood, and then have dinner. From the first day of my trip to Iki Island , dinner is sushi. Tomorrow, I’ll have sushi, and the day after, too. Dinner is a seafood feast (I’ll be eating some extra meat, too). I’m looking forward to it, so I’m getting an early start today and heading straight to the hotel . From here to the airport , it’s about 10km from the airport to the hotel. It’s not wide, but it’s not narrow either. There are no traffic lights, so it’s mostly stop signs. I spotted a scarecrow in the distance! I discovered a mysterious village with loads of scarecrows. It’s a nice road! I’ve hit a nice road . I’m now 3km from the hotel. Apparently it ‘s famous for barley shochu. I wonder if I’ll reach the city center if I go a little further ? Is Iki Island concentrated in one area? If I go a little further, I’ll come across the ferry terminal and other areas. I wonder if that’s the bustling area? Oh , for now, it feels like I’m going downhill over the mountains. Ah, the traffic has picked up around here . The number of buildings has suddenly increased dramatically ! There’s something there , Amagokoro souvenir shop, restaurant, supermarket, Yamaguchi, that was there at the time, supermarket, I’d like to go, maybe later, oh, I wonder if this area is in the city? It’s really booming , it’s only 1.2km to the hotel, and it seems like there’s a lot to do from here , Kokobashi is pretty, what do you call this area, the city, how do you say it, I thought it would be flat, but I thought there would be a bar town on flat ground, but it’s quite a slope, it’s all slopes and lots of curves, it seems like it would be difficult to commute by bike, I wonder if I’m almost there, which is the most bustling part, is this? Shopping HonmachiI wonder if this is a thriving area? Maybe a shopping street? Shopping street HonmachiIt feels like if you come around here you can’t go wrongThis area seems to be thrivingThere are several shopping streetsThere should be a hotel around here but I don’t know where the parking lot isArrivalAmazingThis hotel is in a place with a great viewIt’s in a great locationAmazing viewSo I checked inI checked inA twin room was not available so I got a doubleIt’s a fairly large bed and a chair table, and there are chairs here and there , tables, TV, mirror and a table chair here, so you can put things on the bedThere is also space here so packing is easyThe bathroom, toilet and detergent are all hereIt feels nice to be able to see the ocean from the windowIt ‘s a spacious room with a nice square shapeAnd there is still some time before dinner time so I will do some shopping at the supermarketI will go to the Yamaguchi supermarket from the place I passed earlier and do some shoppingSo I head to dinner restaurantIt is a sushi restaurantThe view is really niceThe hotel’s eyes The road ahead looks like this, it’s the best view, I thought this was the Bell of Happiness, it’s nice, it’s like a wooden deck, it looks like a nice morning , I’d love to take a walk on this road, it’s so peaceful, there ‘s also a restaurant district over there, it ‘s a restaurant district, Miya-dori, what is this place called, Fureai-dori and then Honmachi , I wonder if there are three or four places, the restaurant I’m going to now is a three or four minute walk , go straight , go straight, turn right at the second traffic light, it’s just a good walking course, if you just look at this place you wouldn’t think it’s a remote island , there’s a family restaurant, Mont Blanc , etc. I got a glimpse of the interior, which was really sparkling , but it had a gorgeous feel to it. It was very easy to walk around, and there was no one around. There were a few people running, but there was no one around. I wonder what sound it was, but there was music playing. It was amazing, there was a street like this! Umakamon Street feels like a hidden gem ! We’ve arrived ! We’re enjoying a luxurious sushi meal on the first day of our trip to Iki Island. After waiting for a few minutes , we finally tasted it. Sashimi is the best, after all. It’s so delicious ! I’m wondering which one to eat first. First, we’ll start with Iki beef. All nigiri sets are 8 pieces, and the contents vary depending on the price. It’s shining. Next came the conger eel, which is apparently from Tsushima. It consisted of squid tentacles, horse mackerel, conger eel, and eggplant sushi . It wasn’t on the refill time menu , so I thought I’d have to order the set, but it turns out you can order sushi individually. I ate the horse mackerel without soy sauce. Wow, the sushi/sashimi/tempura all made the most of the ingredients and were really delicious. Thank you for the meal. Wow, it was delicious. This place looks good too . I’m full now, but I’d like to have a mini ramen or something. I recommend it. It seemed like that place was basically fully booked with reservations. Is this area the most prosperous? For sushi, fish, and izakayas, are these the best? There are a lot of delicious restaurants with good reviews (Gonoura area). I’ll eat dinner around here tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow I’ll be a little further away by car , but basically if you’re in the area , I think you can’t go wrong. I want to eat there every day. Sushi I wonder what’s going on down this street. There are no people walking around, but when you go inside a restaurant it’s surprisingly full. That’s the kind of atmosphere it has . I’ve eaten a little too much, so let’s take a walk. October to November might be good. Well, it could be because it’s a weekday, but I think it’s also recommended for solo travelers. What is this? I can’t read it because of the reflection lol. The tide is really high. It’s completely different. I saw it written here earlier. The origin of Onda. It ‘s certainly an amazing design. It’s said that in the past, Iki Island was called Onigashima and many demons lived there. Even today , there are famous places with demons in them, such as Oni no Den (Demon’s Cave) and Oni no Footprints. By the way, this is also sold in souvenir shops (it’s quite huge). Iki Island at night is so emotional . You can walk around leisurely and the temperature is comfortable. Amazing. It really has a nice atmosphere. And the next day, this bridge I like this place, it’s emotional. This boat and bridge are so pretty . Good morning. It’s the morning of the second day of my trip to Iki Island. I arrived here yesterday evening, so the real sightseeing starts today. I’m planning to start my road trip at 7am. This area where the hotel is located is in the south, but I’ll go to the northernmost point first thing in the morning, take a sightseeing boat, and then head south to enjoy some gourmet food and sightseeing. I heard there’s a morning market in the northernmost area , so I took a look around. There’s a sightseeing boat nearby , so I’ll take a boat and enjoy the view of the sea. I ‘ll leave with a beautiful sunrise . First , I’ll stop by Lawson to buy some hot coffee before heading out . Even though it’s a road trip, it’s not a huge remote island, so I think it’s Katsumoto Market . It’s only 13-14km and takes about 30 minutes by car , so it’s not that far. Because it’s a remote island, I imagined the roads to be flat, but there are actually quite a few slopes. It feels like we’re just going straight along National Route 382. We entered Ashibe Town . Once we got to this area, the scenery suddenly became very peaceful . This time of year, I’d like to eat sashimi or sushi at least once a day. It’s October now, and apparently bigfin reef squid is delicious right now. The bigfin reef squid sashimi and sushi I ate yesterday were both really good. If you’re thinking of going to Iki Island in winter , February is the best time ? Apparently the best time to visit is from the end of January to February. Yellowtail , what was it called, and Hiramasa yellowtail are said to be very fatty and are the best. The road somehow feels more Kanto than Kyushu. It’s a little narrow, with lots of curves and slopes. After that,
it’s like you just keep going straight, or if you keep going straight, you’ll arrive. I ‘ve entered Katsumoto Town. It’s 6.6km away from my destination. I’m planning to visit some tourist spots along the western coast in the second half of the day , so I’m looking forward to the scenery. I wonder what it’s like . The roads are clearer than I expected, and I left earlier than originally planned. The morning market starts at 8:30, but it’s still around 7:40. I have 50 minutes left, so I wonder what I should do. I guess I’ll take a walk along the coast . It wasn’t raining in the area where the hotel was , but it was raining a little north, and the roads were wet. Is the weather really that different between the north and south of the island? I wonder if the weather will be a bit unstable here too due to the effects of Typhoon 22. I found a restaurant that looked delicious, I think it’s called Ichifuji . Iki Island is famous for its sea urchin, which is apparently really delicious, but I heard it ‘s not available at this time of year. What month was it in season? April, May, June? So if you want to eat sea urchin, would it be safe to go in April, May, or June? Or would May be safe? If you want to go when fish is delicious or in season, winter or April to June seems to be the best time . After turning this sharp corner, oh! The sea and the port town come into view . Katsumoto Morning Market. Where is it? Morning Market. Is this around here ? I can see a building on my left, is it around here? Katsumoto Morning Market Street. I wonder if the building has been newly renovated? Wow , it suddenly appeared all at once! Is parking free? I parked in the parking lot and arrived at 7:52 , which was too early. It’s only 7:52 in the morning. There’s also a bus stop. There’s a bus stop and a parking lot, and the parking lot doesn’t seem to have a paid fee, it’s just free. The market isn’t open yet, and there ‘s a dock for sightseeing boats and boats going to Tatsunoshima Island. There’s also a fishing port, so I think I’ll take a walk along the coast for a morning walk . A morning walk on Iki Island . Amazing! 海底捕まるかも! English: There are so many fish, they’re huge, really huge. What is that ? When I pointed at it, it ran away. I have no idea what the fish is , isn’t it amazing ? There are so many, this one is pretty big too , but it’s not small. A huge black fish , about ten times the size of this one , crossed the street and went somewhere. What a wonderful view, what a great atmosphere. This isn’t really a sidewalk. When I looked down, the sea was just around the corner. Amazing . There are even guesthouses here . Guesthouses and Iruka no Yado. For people who like fishing, this is the perfect location. There were big fish around here , but they’re smaller than the fish I saw earlier. This one is pretty big too, but I wonder what time they open in the morning . Squid feast, squid bowl for 1000 yen. This area looks good too. There are also restaurants around here. There’s yakiniku here and there. The special Iki beef looks delicious. Yakiniku is good too . There’s a restaurant here too. It says they ‘re open for freshly caught seafood, but I don’t think they’re closed. I guess this is just a snack bar. Take a boat from here and you’ll find the island of Tatsunoshima. Oh , um, a deserted island? There’s an island, right there , and a little to the north I found a national flag . What is this? The national flag is on display. There’s something on top of the torii gate. Is it a shrine? I wonder where the shrine is. There ‘s a really big fish. Is it the same as the fish I saw earlier? It’s really big. It’s eating something. There are so many different kinds of fish. It ‘s amazing how many fish there are at your feet. They’re so common . Are they delicious? Please subscribe and like from Katsumoto Fishing Port. What is this boat? It seems to be related to the shrine . Should I walk a little further? The first thing in the morning is at 9am, and it costs 1,000 yen per adult. The sightseeing boat is 2,000 yen . I wonder if this is the parking lot. I parked my car here. Is it okay to ride the boat? It looks like this one. A pleasure boat (the one in the back). With its size, it’s probably going to rock a lot depending on the wave conditions. I found an easy-to-understand map. I walked all the way to the back this way earlier, but maybe I’ll try walking this way next time. It’s not 8:30 yet, so I’ll walk this way too . And since it’s almost 8:30, I’ll go and check out the Katsumoto Morning Market. There are some stuffed animals hanging all over the place, which is quite surreal. I wonder if the street next to it is like that too. There seem to be several streets like that. This street is Fureai Street. At first I was thinking of making a reservation here for lunch, but behind it are restaurants . Apparently there’s a festival on October 14th, and these are also festival decorations? Apparently, what festival is it called? Does this whole street continue on? Is there a market like this street, or a convenience store? Are there shops all along this street? There’s also a fruit and vegetable morning market festival here on November 2nd, and a raffle . It’s too early in the morning, but on the other hand, there aren’t many people around yet, so it’s nice. A cute cat appeared and bumped into me. Are you old enough to want to play? Selfie sticks are really convenient, and you can even use them to soothe your cat. I found a shop! A rooftop sauna. The streetscape of Katsumotoura. I wonder if the streetscape is like this. There’s also a bank. Marine Bank . The kanji for Iki is cool, isn’t it? There’s construction going on in the back here . Since there’s construction going on in the back , shall we go back? This is a sushi restaurant . I just ate a lot of sushi yesterday , but I’m already hungry. This is my second time trying out the morning market. I guess it’s only open on weekends. On weekdays, it’s after 8:30am, so it’s not really open. The shops are closed, and the market area seems like it’s just local old ladies chatting. So I head to the sightseeing boat dock . Oh, I wonder if they’re selling tickets ? I wonder if they’re leaving today. It looks like they’re leaving, so I buy a ticket. I board the sightseeing boat that departs at 9am. I’ll fill out the passenger list before purchasing my ticket. I got my sightseeing boat ticket. It’s 2,000 yen per adult. I board from the pier about five minutes before . Apparently, if I’m there five minutes before, I’ll be fine. The journey takes about 40 minutes. Since I’m here, I’ll climb up to the second floor and enjoy the view. Boarding! It’s great that there’s a roof! The second-floor seats also have a roof, which is great! I think I’ll get seasick if I stare at the screen for 40 minutes straight, so it’s dangerous to take pictures without looking. Thank you very much for using Emerald Iki. Katsumoto Town is one of the leading fishing towns. Most of the fish, such as squid, yellowtail , and sea bream , are caught by line fishing. Recently, it has become such a tuna-producing area that it is known as the Oma of the North and the Iki of the West . The island on the right is Wakamiyajima Island. The shrine at the torii gate is Wakamiya Shrine. The color of the sea changes from here. Wow, so beautiful , so beautiful ! It was cloudy and rainy at the time , so the sky was dark, but even so, it was so beautiful with the naked eye . I want to come again on a sunny day . This is Wolf Rock . Wow, amazing! I couldn’t get this far. I actually wanted to reach out a little further to take a picture of the ocean, but it was raining and my camera wasn’t waterproof, so I had to take a picture from this distance. But even from a distance, it’s still so beautiful. It’s amazing. What’s going on? 帰りました。 English: It ‘s really shaky around here It seems like I won’t get seasick as much as I thought (it is shaky, but surprisingly it’s tolerable) Next we’re going out to sea and going around Tatsunoshima Island This area was the shaky the most But it felt like an attraction and was fun Wow It shook so much The screams were intense lol It was amazing Apparently you can only pass through at high tide This is Mammoth Rock A very impressive view Mammoth Rock looked very mysterious from this distance We arrived at the next view spot The boat approached right up to the cliffs Up ahead you can see Hebi-ga-dani The cliffs formed by erosion are curved like a snake’s nest so it’s called Hebi-ga- dani I tend to get seasick quite easily but it was surprisingly okay We returned safely It rained for a moment earlier and I thought it was dangerous but thankfully it’s sunny now I ‘m back at Katsumoto Port Even when I got off the boat my legs still felt the shaky I still had a lot left over, so I headed to a nearby cafe. I think this is the place . I think it’s the one on the right. It feels like an old-fashioned cafe. I decided to take a break here. The ordering method is apparently via mobile ordering, which involves scanning a QR code. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, and my order arrived . The Iki beef burger and cafe latte look incredibly delicious. The meat is huge, but it’s so big you can’t really tell lol. Can you tell by comparing it to the glass ? This is the size. The minced meat cutlet and grain mustard are delicious. I was surprised to find that the rice was burnt, and it was free, so I got some. Delicious! You can eat it like rice crackers . Wow , it was delicious! I made a reservation for lunch, which started at 11:30, but I still had a little time, so I went to a nearby view spot? Let’s head there and take a look. It’s amazing, there are so many boats lined up. Boats are lined up without a break. They’re not squid , but maybe they specialize in bigfin reef squid, or squid in general, or maybe not just squid. The tide is coming in now, so the sea really feels close. If you go to the left, there’s Dolphin Park , Kushiyama Beach, and the campground. There’s also a campground. The shops open in 40 minutes, so maybe I’ll take a stroll around here ! There’s also a sushi restaurant . Isaribi? Karaoke Studio Utahime (I passed it). Which way is this ?!
The waves were crazy! The waves are so strong right now. My car’s going to get wet, and it looks like the seawater’s going to hit it. There’s a view spot somewhere, but I ‘m not sure where the view spot is . If I go straight here, is it like that? There are huge waves. The waves are coming right up to me. It looks like it might hit my car here, which is scary, but I wonder if it’s okay. It looks like the road on the other side will get wet. This isn’t a view spot. What was this stone called ? This is a foundation stone. Iki’s foundation stone? Google Maps says it’s Iki’s Foundation Stone. Amazing! Are the strata exposed? Does that mean it’s rising? The wind is starting to pick up. It’s getting stronger than before and the waves are right there . Oh no , I might get wet. This is scary . I want to take a peek, but there’s a chance I’ll get wet. Oh no , it’s chaos over there. The camera isn’t waterproof, so it ‘s a little dangerous . It’s dangerous to get too close. If you go straight from here , it looks like Dolphin Park and Kushiyama Beach are at the end of this road . Wow, it’s amazing ! The waves are crashing into the wall in the distance . Due to the schedule I’m not going to the dolphin park today, but I think this place is like one where you can see a dolphin show or interact with the dolphins. Apparently there is also a pool with dolphins and activities like kayaking . Amazing . This road is like , isn’t it the kind of place where the waves crash ? This is the swimming beach . On the left is the campsite. It looks like this. Is this Kushiyama Beach? There are surprisingly many stones and such, so it might be a bit strange if you’re barefoot. Ah, it’s nice. It feels like I’m on an island, the sea is really nice. There’s no wind here and the waves are calm. The wind is blowing from north to south today, so maybe that’s why the place we were at earlier was like that. Oh, I wonder if this is the north side. It’s blocked off so it doesn’t get much wind, did a fish jump? Even in a place like this, there are big fish, it’s quite a sight . It’s amazing , what a unique view. It really feels like the ocean is close. Oh, it ‘s scary, it feels like we might crash into the ocean. This curve is just right here. There’s also wind, oh, it’s amazing. The waves are strong and the road is wet. I was in the opposite lane earlier, so it was fine, but if there were no oncoming cars, I’d have driven in the middle or I’d have gotten hit by the waves. Ah, the road is already wet right down to the middle. It would be dangerous if a wave came just right, but this is safe. The wave didn’t come, dangerous, dangerous. I’m glad we didn’t get hit. It ‘s time for our reservation, so we ‘re heading to a restaurant for lunch. The tempura set meal is a sashimi set meal + tempura special, and the katsudon + tempura gold. There are also specials, the Golden Special is amazing, and with this, it’s tempura sashimi + katsudon. I also want to try tempura , so I was debating whether to go for the 1,800 yen tempura sashimi , but after some deliberation, I decided on the 1,700 yen special set meal (sashimi). Katsudon seems to be popular, and come to think of it, I haven’t eaten it for a while, so I couldn’t resist ordering it. The sashimi also looks delicious, with a nice color. Let ‘s eat right away . Following on from yesterday’s restaurant, the sashimi at this restaurant was also excellent . Really Iki Island. The food is delicious, seriously delicious, with a nice aftertaste that lingers in your nose. The kajime soup was incredibly delicious, 100 times more delicious than I imagined. What is this all about? It’s quite a surreal sight. So, it’s time for lunch. I was very satisfied. I was a little full after eating the hamburger, but still, it was delicious until the end. The katsudon was also good, but the sashimi was the best. Fish is really tasty. However, when you eat the katsudon and sashimi together, the flavors get a bit muddled, so it might be better to eat them separately. Eating them alternately cancels out each other’s good qualities. It was delicious. By the way, tonight’s dinner was also seafood and Iki beef. This is a restaurant where you can enjoy Iki beef and sashimi, so look forward to it . The channel will continue from the Katsumoto Fishing Port area and head to the next spot. From here, we will go around several view spots and head back to the area where the southern hotel is located. The atmosphere is different to before. It’s nice, you can enjoy both the sea and the mountain views. That’s Iki Island . Wow! : There are tons of crows, it’s a gathering place where they’re eating something. This is a remote island for crows, so I thought the roads would be narrow in areas like view spots and the edge of the sea, but it seems to be okay surprisingly. If it continues like this, it’s just going to rain , which is suspicious.Ah , there’s a shrine too, Motomiya Hachiman Shrine.Amazing.A torii gate towering over the sea. There was a torii gate in a place like this, it’s mysterious. If I go straight on this , I’ll reach the end, and from the end , I wonder if I have to walk, or will it be there if I walk? I wonder if I should park the car around here and walk, or can I continue driving?I’m not sure, am I right ?It seems like there’s something up ahead if I go straight on this road, there’s this huge patch of grass.Where is it ?Maybe it’s on the other side of here , I think.I think it’s this side, but how do I get there? I ‘ve arrived at a place that feels like a hidden gem. There are no signs for view spots or anything.I’m not sure if this is the road, but maybe it’s not.It looks like this is the road, but it ‘s probably this way !What is this , a crab ? Isn’t it amazing that there’s a crab in the grass ? That ‘s unusual . I wonder if I can go there. It’s probably behind this. Ah, but there’s some kind of path . Amazing. This is also columnar jointing. It feels different from the picture on Google Maps . It’s dangerous from here, so maybe I should stop. There are people fishing there, so I guess it’s not impossible to go there. Is this the one? It was a bit different from what I thought, but it looks like this. : This place is a bit weird, it’s a bit of a hidden gem, or maybe a bit of a hidden gem, there’s nothing here and the scenery is amazingI’ve walked so far but it’s not a place you’d come for sightseeingBut for some reason it’s registered as a view spot on Google MapsSo shall we head to our next location ? The view is really uniqueMitarai River? What is this?Wow, it’s like an observation deckI parked the car for a bit and took a detourThe view from the top of this hill was great so I thought I ‘d take a quick commemorative photoSo here we areThe view here isn’t really greatIt’s quite a spectacular viewAmazingThere are probably a lot of things like sea stations on this roadWhat is this
on the right ? It says Sun DomeAccording to the navigation it’s a hot spring play area? There’s also a sushi restaurant hereIt looks deliciousPrefectural Route 59This area is hot springYumoto OnsenNumber of hot springs: 176 degreesI wonder if Yumoto Onsen Sea Station is open? They say they have freshly baked bread now (detour time) Shall I take a look?I just had some a while ago and this bread looks delicious so I’ll buy some right awayMelon bread and red bean paste croissantAnd lemon ? They also sold lemon tarts, which were the second most popular, and this melon bread was the most popular. Now I tried it! It smells amazing! It’s delicious! I just had a set meal, but I could eat this all! It ‘s so good! The dough is so good! It ‘s fluffy , and it has a chewy texture too ! The bean paste is also good, but I’d like to try it with chocolate ! Is there a local karaoke in a place like this ? (Probably not) It used to be an izakaya, but there’s also a karaoke! This is a ryokan, an open-air bath, a family bath, Hirayama Ryokan . This area is where Yumoto Onsen is located, and there are ryokans and other inns. Gonoura Town From here to Gonoura Town. Iki Island is Gonoura, Katsumoto, Ishida, and Ashibe? I’m talking while quickly remembering that I looked at the pamphlet earlier, so I’m not sure if the names are correct, but it ‘s divided into four areas. And our next destination is Saruiwa. It’s only 2.3km from here . Compared to our last trip to Miyazaki, it’s much easier. In this rain, we found a sign! I wonder what Deai Village is. The road is wide like this and it’s quite easy to drive. It’s a spot on the edge so I thought the road might be narrow but it’s no problem at all. That’s right, if you go to the right you’ll come to the remains of the Kurosaki Battery and if you go straight you’ll see Saruiwa. Oh, it looks amazing! Saruiwa is more of a monkey than I imagined. Arrived at Iki-Tsushima Quasi-National Park. Saruiwa is more of a monkey than I thought it would be. It’s really big. Seeing it with the naked eye it ‘s quite big. It looks more like a gorilla than a monkey. It looks like a profile as it turns around saying “Uho”. Is that a promenade in the back over here? I wonder if you can see it right in front of you. You can see what looks like a road. It’s quite big. If you take a picture from this distance, you can get a CHU with Saruiwa. Today, first thing in the morning, we’ll tour the northernmost area and then head south. Next, let’s go around here. We’ll go back to the hotel and have dinner. Tomorrow, we’ll head east, from north to east, and tour this area, and then the day after tomorrow is the last day. On the last day, we’ll tour the southernmost area, then go back to the airport and drive to Katsumoto. It’s about a 30-minute drive, right? Since it’s only 30 minutes from here, if you go super quickly, I wonder if it’s possible to do a whirlwind tour in one day, splitting it into four parts over a 4-day, 3-night trip and enjoying both the food and sightseeing. It probably wouldn’t be impossible to do it all in just 2 days, but it depends on the time of your return flight or ferry, but if you go up this slope next to this souvenir shop, you can apparently see the remains of the battery from above. There’s also a tunnel to the former battery, which I just drove past, but I heard it ‘s collapsed inside and can’t be seen, so I’ll stop by later on my way back . Apparently, you can’t get there from that direction, so the only way to see it is to climb the slope. Does that mean the remains of the battery are directly below here? This is the remains of the Kurosaki Battery. First, it is said to have been installed to attack ships passing through the Tsushima Strait. It is a battery equipped with a 41cm caliber cannon, the barrel is 18m long , the bullet weighs about 1 ton, and it has a maximum range of 35km, making it the longest range and most destructive power in the Orient. However, it was never used in actual combat and was dismantled after the war. Now, only the ruins remain as a war heritage, as it was originally possible to view it from inside, but due to the effects of the earthquake it is now closed to the public and can only be viewed from above. There is also no electricity. Next, 1.5km from Saruiwa, there is apparently a park with a nice view a little south, so I will go and check it out. If it’s raining it will look dark so it might not look very good, but oh , do I turn right here, oh , it ‘s a little narrow , is it called Komaki? Komakizaki, Iki Tsushima Quasi-National Park, Komakizaki This is the parking lot and if I walk along the promenade I wonder if I’ll come to a view spot or something. Arriving , next we came to Komakizaki Park There are so many mosquitoes It’s raining a little and there are so many mosquitoes so I’m going with full protection, wearing long sleeves and a hat We haven’t been blessed with great weather but does the road continue all the way to the sea ? There are hornets , it would be scary if there were a beehive nearby It’s really bad weather but the scenery is amazing We are walking down this quite mysterious road (I didn’t notice the hornets at this time either) It would probably be really nice to come on a sunny day The feel of the road here is amazing The scenery is amazing I wonder what’s over here Is it a tourist spot or what is it? There are nasty bees here , they’re there! I continued sightseeing while avoiding the bees (I was still okay this time).Hornets in large places like this are quite persistent, probably because they have their nest nearby. They keep coming over here.I guess it’s okay because I have this umbrella.I wonder if there’s something over here.Wow , what a unique view.Well , in terms of location, this is the highest
point, so maybe it’s best to look around from here. The bees are scary. There ‘s a theory that if you yell loudly they won’t come.I wonder if I can get over there.Which way should I go? There’s a toilet over there, so maybe I should go this way. That’s bad.Something ‘s going wrong. That person is dangerous.I wonder if I can get to the edge. There are bees here too. There were about five in this short time.It might be dangerous.I wonder if I can get that far. It’s really unique.Amazing.There ‘s a torii gate. The wind was blowing through and I discovered a shrine.I did n’t know there was a place like this. This is why I stop traveling. ちゃってますね。 English: I can’t help it I got bitten so badly This is why I can’t stop traveling Wow the wind is so scary nasty nasty nasty There are some tracks of cars passing by Is there still something further in there Ah here comes a bee It doesn’t come when I try to scare it away with my umbrella I wonder if it’s collecting nectar from the flowers It went towards the flowers I’m so tired nasty I’m so tired Maybe it’s best not to come around here too often I think it’s okay in winter but the hornets are getting really close Are they scare me ? I thought maybe one just happened to come close but then about three of them came heading towards me so it might be dangerous They ran away so I didn’t get stung or anything but they keep coming towards me at a certain distance Maybe there’s a big nest They’re here too Be careful of them There were a lot of hornets earlier There were about three at the parking lot There were quite a few in total That park is dangerous Let’s head back a little south to the next tourist spot Oh! I found something What ‘s this? P Photo Spot & Parking This is commonly known as Torupa. This view is amazing. Let’s take a detour here and take a commemorative photo. This is what makes a road trip so fun, isn’t it? I wonder which way this is facing? Is this facing south? This one faces south. The next tourist spot we’re going to is on the far right. If we take the road in the back, it’s probably around here. Today we’re going from the northernmost point to the west, heading south and zigzagging as we sightsee. Makizaki? Twins Beach Twins Beach really does sound like the name of a stand in JoJo. OraOraOraOraOraOra. There’s a sign here too, Ako Natural Monument . We’ve arrived in 500m. I wonder if this is the parking lot. There ‘s a grassland-like promenade from earlier. I’m traumatized by the bee earlier, so I just have to go with determination. We ‘ve arrived. Iki- Tsushima Quasi-National Park Entrance to Makizaki Park It was written there as well, I wonder if there are that many people practicing golf here, and if they get a lot of complaints about golf practice . I wonder what it’s like here? I wonder if there are bees. There are dragonflies , so where there are dragonflies there are no bees. It has a different atmosphere from before, and it feels pretty nice . When I got here I thought it was going to rain, but then a sudden strong wind came. It felt like a sudden gust of wind. It says “Oni no Ashi no Ki” (Devil’s Footprints) . There’s also a sign warning of falls. There’s no fence, so this is where I am now. I’ve arrived at a place on the west side by the sea. Here are the Oni no Ashi no Ki. Wow, it’s amazing . It ‘s more clearly carved out than I thought it would be . This side is amazing too
. It’s like a road to heaven, so well maintained and beautiful. There are beautiful grasslands stretching out before me . There are no bees, it’s so wonderful, I’m so excited. My partner is also running along the promenade from Oni no Ashiato, feeling very excited . I wonder if there’s something over here ? Does it end here? 海がきた まう Next, we head to Twins Beach nearby. There’s a sign that caught my eye, so I wonder if it means there are two beaches and the two combined make up Twins Beach. Is this the parking lot ? It’s so spacious , amazing. There are benches and tables like this. Well, it ‘s not the season for swimming, so there are no people there, but it looks like summer. Even though the water is muddy from the rain and wind , the view is amazing. The tide is really low. It’s probably low tide right now , it ‘s a very unique view. Wow, it’s nice, time is passing slowly and the place is calm. We’ve arrived at Shiotaru Beach, another Twins Beach. Amazing ! Parasol chairs and beach volleyball are available for free. Because it’s so amazing , so beautiful The sky has cleared up only on this side Thank goodness – I wish there was a little more light, but wow, it’s so beautiful The place we were at earlier was also spacious and beautiful, but personally I think this one is more unique, I guess you could say it’s unique, beautiful So that ‘s the beach we went to earlier So I’ve been to all the places I wanted to go, so I guess I’ll head back to the hotel area Is this road okay ? Can I really get there on this road ? Well, today, if the weather is good, it’ll be the best day ever The tunnel is too dark It’s a pretty dark tunnel Is this area a fishing port? There are a lot of kites in the sky I wonder if they’re looking for fish remains There’s a direct sales store, a processed seafood direct sales store Seagull’s Breakfast on Google Maps ( (Before the trip) I found it. It was a set meal restaurant that opened from 8-9am. It looked delicious too. This is the car park for Gonoura Port. If you turn right, is that the ferry terminal? I wonder if people coming from Fukuoka come here? I still have some time before dinner so I take a walk around Gonoura Port . The ferry terminal is more bustling than the airport. There is a restaurant on the second floor and a souvenir shop on the first floor. I thought the airport would be crowded, but surprisingly there was no one there and the plane was empty too, which surprised me. I wonder if people arriving by plane are quite rare. Then it’s time for dinner. I can walk tonight’s dinner from the hotel as well. Shall I have sashimi again tonight ? Bebenko? I’m also interested in this steak restaurant . It’s only a 5-6 minute walk from the Coffee House Hotel, less than 10 minutes. Tonight’s meal is Ajiyoshisan. Now, I recommend making a reservation in advance. Wow, tonight is a feast, what should I eat first? I’ve ordered so much. It ‘s my first time having Iki sea urchin bowl . I added a sea urchin bowl and a single serving of Iki beef, which is really luxurious. Shall I start with the sea urchin bowl? It’s October now, so the sea urchin isn’t freshly caught, but there are apparently some restaurants that preserve sea urchin caught in the summer and continue to serve it at this time of year. Now, let’s enjoy some luxurious Iki Island cuisine. The mayonnaise is really delicious. The Iki beef looks delicious. It’s too delicious! It comes with a sauce, so apparently you mix it up before eating. This sea urchin bowl also went well with the sauce and seaweed, and was delicious . Speaking of which, it’s been a while since I’ve had salmon. This seafood-eating trip was amazing. This is mozuku seaweed from Iki, Iki tofu , and chawanmushi. The tofu here was also delicious . It was quite firm, or should I say, had a good texture. Thank you for the meal. It was really delicious . Wow, this trip to Iki Island was a real luxury. Dinner was over 10,000 yen for two days in a row. Some people might think that 10,000 yen for dinner for two people is expensive, but once you try it, you’ll understand. It’s really good value for money . It was really delicious, but I don’t want to tell anyone about it . How should I put it ? I really hope not. If it was in Tokyo, it would easily cost over 30,000 yen. If you make a reservation 3-4 days in advance, it’s fine, and the seats are spacious, so they have really good sashimi, Iki beef, and other fish and meat. The ingredients are generally delicious, but on top of that, the quality of the food is the best. I’m also interested in this. I’m really interested in the hamburger here. Seriously , it’s a hamburger from around the world. However, I’ve already made a reservation for tomorrow’s dinner in advance, and I’ll be eating sashimi tomorrow too, so I’ll take a walk after dinner to get some exercise. I’m also interested in Fureai Street . There’s a shrine at the end of Miyano Street. That famous shrine . This shrine is the one, is n’t it? I wonder if it was featured in Aiseki Shokudo or something. Well, from here onwards, it was incredibly realistic. Well, I’ll leave that to your imagination (a giant boy). This is a Chinese izakaya . Chinese izakaya Seikai. There’s also a sushi restaurant. Looks delicious . There’s a cat in a place like this. Cute.
