【富士山ドライブ】ぶらり旅 第524回「山梨県:富士五湖 vol.3 河口湖 富士山パノラマロープウェイ」-アクセス,駐車場,カチカチ山- Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway
ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2025年7月に山梨県にある「富士五湖」に行きました。
富士五湖とその周辺の観光スポットを巡ります。
まずvol.3は河口湖 富士山パノラマロープウェイです。

・富士五湖
富士山の北の麓にある五つの湖を総称して「富士五湖(ふじごこ)」と呼びます。
その五つは、西から順に本栖湖(もとすこ)、精進湖(しょうじこ)、西湖(さいこ)、河口湖(かわぐちこ)、山中湖(やまなかこ)で、富士箱根伊豆国立公園に含まれ、それぞれが世界遺産の構成資産にもなっている。
かつて富士山の周囲にはいくつか大きな湖があり、それが当時の富士山の噴火に伴う溶岩流によって分断されたり、せき止められるなどの過程を経て現在の富士五湖が形成されたと考えられています。
・河口湖
河口湖は、南岸に富士山の噴火で流出した溶岩流が押し寄せたことでできた堰止湖（せきとめこ）です。
そのため富士山側となる南の湖岸は、溶岩流が張り出した岬が続きます。
河口湖の湖面面積は山中湖に次いで2番めの大きさです。
また水深は最も深いところで14.6m、こちらは山中湖に次いで2番めの浅さとなります。
ちなみに河口湖に次いで3番目の大きさの本栖湖ですが、湖水の容量を比較すると河口湖よりも約6倍の量があります。
これは、本栖湖の最深部が121mもあるためで、富士五湖の中でも飛び抜けて深い湖となります。
・富士山パノラマロープウェイ
標高856ｍの河口湖畔駅から1,075ｍの富士見台駅までロープウェイで上ることわずか3分。
目の前には裾野まで見渡せる日本一の富士山と河口湖の大パノラマが広がります。
ここ天上山は太宰治の名作「かちかち山」の舞台となった山といわれ、物語にちなんであちらこちらでキュートなタヌキとウサギがお出迎えしてくれます。
小さなお子様から大人まで楽しめる絶景のフォトスポットです。
営業時間：8:30～17:00(下り最終17:20)
8:30～18:00(下り最終18:20)(7月20日～8月31日)
料金：(往復)大人1,000円、小人 500円
(片道)大人600円、小人 300円
I’d like to introduce some places I just happened to visit.
In July 2025, I visited the Fuji Five Lakes in Yamanashi Prefecture.
I’ll be touring the Fuji Five Lakes and the surrounding tourist spots.
First up, Vol. 3: Lake Kawaguchiko and the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway.
・Fuji Five Lakes
The five lakes at the northern foot of Mt. Fuji are collectively known as the “Fuji Five Lakes.”
From west to east, they are Lake Motosuko, Lake Shojiko, Lake Saiko, Lake Kawaguchiko, and Lake Yamanakako. They are part of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park and each is a World Heritage Site.
It is believed that there were once several large lakes surrounding Mt. Fuji, which were divided and dammed by lava flows from previous eruptions, forming the current Fuji Five Lakes.
Lake Kawaguchi
Lake Kawaguchi is a dammed lake formed by lava flows from the eruption of Mount Fuji on its southern shore.
As a result, the southern shore, facing Mount Fuji, is lined with protruding capes from lava flows.
Lake Kawaguchi is second in size after Lake Yamanaka.
Its deepest point is 14.6 meters, making it the second shallowest lake after Lake Yamanaka.
Incidentally, Lake Motosu, the third largest lake after Lake Kawaguchi, has approximately six times the volume of water.
This is because Lake Motosu’s deepest point is 121 meters, making it by far the deepest of the Fuji Five Lakes.
Mount Fuji Panorama Ropeway
It’s only a three-minute ropeway ride from Kawaguchikohan Station, at an elevation of 856 meters, to Fujimidai Station, at 1,075 meters.
A magnificent panoramic view of Mount Fuji, Japan’s highest mountain, and Lake Kawaguchiko unfolds before your eyes, stretching all the way to its base.
Mount Tenjo is said to be the setting for Osamu Dazai’s masterpiece “Kachi Kachi Yama,” and in keeping with the story, you’ll be greeted by adorable raccoon dogs and rabbits scattered throughout the area.
This is a spectacular photo spot that everyone from small children to adults can enjoy.
