This railway hotel occupies the abandoned tracks of the Kosaka Railway in Kosaka Town, Akita Prefecture.
There are several accommodation options in sleeper express train cars, but the cars here are still operational.
The only mobile accommodation in Japan

0:00 A 75-year-old diesel locomotive pulls the passenger cars. Although it is only 500m one way and 1km round trip, it is the only operating sleeper express train in Japan that was once in operation.

  2. yes, an era has passed. I don't know if there are any sleepers left other than those that go to Takamatsu and Izumoshi from Tokyo
