『中城城跡』
中城城跡は、15世紀初頭、名将・護佐丸が東方の勢力を警戒して築いた屈指のグスク（城）です。
王国を守るための堅固な構造と、その後の石積み技術の進化が見事に時を超えて残されています。
城は六つの郭からなり、石灰岩を用いた高度な「継石積み」など、各時代の技法の変遷を「見て学ぶ」ことができます。
そしてこの場所は、琉球の伝統芸能「組踊」の名作『二童敵討（にどうてきうち）』の物語の舞台にもなっています。
阿麻和利の謀略で父・護佐丸を失いながらも、生き延びた兄弟が仇討ちを果たす──その忠義と愛の物語は、正義と家族への思いを今に伝えています。
歴史の舞台と伝統芸能が響き合う中城城で、琉球の“ものがたり”を体感してみてください。

Rising proudly since the early 15th century, Nakagusuku Castle was built by the famed Lord Gosamaru to guard against eastern rivals.Its strong fortifications and evolving stone masonry techniques stand as a timeless testament to the Ryukyu Kingdom’s architectural brilliance.
The castle is divided into six enclosures, where visitors can admire the sophisticated aikata-zumi stonework, crafted from local limestone, and trace the development of construction methods across centuries.
祭りBut Nakagusuku is more than just stone walls—it is also the legendary stage of Nidō Tekiuchi, one of the most celebrated works of Ryukyuan dance-drama (kumi-odori).The tale tells of two brothers who, after losing their father Gosamaru to the schemes of Amawari, bravely carry out their revenge—a timeless story of loyalty, justice, and love for family.
