【大門商店街】 三重県津市大門 津観音の門前町として栄えた街 撤去されたアーケードと残るアーケードの陰影が印象的な商店街を歩いてみた

日本三大観音のひとつ、津観音を拝観した後、その門前町として栄えた大門商店街を歩いてみました。
大門商店街は、かつてお伊勢参りが盛んだった時代に伊勢街道沿いにできた商店街で、三重県随一の繁華街として賑わいました。
近年は交通アクセスの不便さや郊外の大型ショッピングセンターの台頭などにより中心街が空洞化していき、2018年にはアーケードが撤去されるなど衰退が進んでいます。
アーケードが撤去されて明るくなった伊勢街道沿いと、今もアーケードが残る飲食店街とで、その陰影が強く印象に残る街でした。
