【OMO5 小樽】小樽運河とレトロとアンティークなホテル

This time I went to OMO5 Otaru in Otaru City, Hokkaido. There’s a beer hall on the Otaru Canal, and I discovered some very famous and interesting music boxes. The night view is amazing , and the sound of antique music boxes is amazing. Please take a look ! Hello! I’m at New Chitose Airport and heading to Otaru now. The trip from the airport to Otaru takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. The fare is 2,040 yen, and reserved seats called U-seats are 800 yen. If you’re looking for comfort, U-seats are available. The weather is cloudy. I discovered a large building on a vast site . I passed an express train at Escon Field, home of the Nippon-Ham Fighters. I arrived at Sapporo Station, and most passengers get off here. I’ll be arriving in Otaru soon. Arriving in Otaru . There’s a lot of old-fashioned charm, and it’s nice and welcoming. Lights like fishing boat lights? Otaru Station has a retro feel to it . The disused train tracks remain. Up ahead, we arrive at the Otaru Canal, but we’ll leave our luggage at the hotel first. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Otaru Station. Our hotel for the night is OMO5 Otaru. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of the Otaru Canal. OMO5 is a boutique hotel. From the moment we entered, a retro feel was in the air. The calm atmosphere was comfortable. Amenities included pickup-style loungewear , razors, cotton swabs, and children’s toothbrushes . Toothbrushes and tea. Paid amenities included coffee and cosmetics. Otaru’s Go KINJO MAP. Seafood shops, shops, restaurants , music boxes (not records). Since we had some time before check-in, we strolled around and discovered a seafood shop nearby. As you’d expect from Hokkaido! The variety of seafood is wide. The melons and ice cream were tempting. Otaru’s famous LeTAO dog statue? もいいみたいだ。 English : There’s even a LeTAO cafe! We arrived at the Otaru Canal. The scenery you often see in guidebooks seems to be all warehouses. There are many foreign visitors here. There’s also a daytime view. There’s a Bikkuri Donkey at the entrance to the warehouse . Otaru Warehouse No. 1, which I’ve always wanted to visit . There’s a beer hall at the Otaru Canal. The interior has a warm wooden feel, and it’s also a brewery, so we’ll take a look around. The tour is on the second floor. The view from the second floor. I wonder if this is the route we should take . A display of beer ingredients. The big tanks seem to be filtering kettles and brewing kettles. That big tank. Stylish coasters. Fermentation tanks. Aging room. Lager tanks. I’m thirsty, so I’ll order a beer. On the menu , you can choose the type and size of beer . They also have non-alcoholic and soft drinks. There’s a wide selection of German dishes , and I’m glad that they list recommended beers. All the dishes look delicious . There seem to be some goods too. To order, you write the number and quantity on a sheet and hand it to the staff. There seems to be an all-you-can-drink option. It’s daytime, but it’s busy. These tanks are stylish. There are many bottle tanks on the shelves. I wonder how much each tank holds? Here we are! One liter is a lot, will I be able to drink it all? Wow, it’s delicious! The satisfying serving sizes are 300ml for S, 500ml for M, and 1L for L. Thank you for the meal! Just drinking it feels like a workout (lol). There’s also a drinking spot called Otaru Denuki Koji. It has a backstreet-like atmosphere, with many shops still closed. I wonder if this one is open? There are various shops, including ramen shops, seafood bowl shops, and izakayas. There are lights in the stream. I arrived at Kamaei, famous for its kamaboko (fish cakes). It seems you can get fish paste to go! Among the various options, I recommend the pan roll. Pan roll 248 JPY Delicious!! Otaru’s main street, Music Box Hall . There are various music boxes. Expensive music boxes. They make good souvenirs. Sushi music box (not food). Hello Kitty shop. They seem to sell a lot of local sake. You can sample them? I was amazed at the sheer variety of dishes, and the tasting was a hit! They even have Otaru wines ! For lunch, I had the Poseidon. The menu included beer , the Poseidon, the Omakasedon, the Yokubari Kaisendon , the Crab Don, the Salmon Roe Don, the Umi no Oyakodon, the Fatty Salmon Don, the Tuna Don, the Negitoro Don, and the Crab Don (500 yen). They sell out quickly, so be sure to get there early. In addition to the donburi dishes, they also have a seafood set menu. I ordered the Yokubari Kaisendon (1900 JPY) . It consisted of shrimp, salmon roe, salmon, flying fish roe, scallops, negitoro, tuna, crab , and beer. I started with the beer. It sparkled like a jewel box. First, the crab was fresh and delicious, the negitoro tuna , delicious , the salmon , also fatty and delicious, the shrimp , sweet and delicious, the scallops , delicious even without the soy sauce. It was a very satisfying combination. I forgot to add wasabi soy sauce this time. The salmon roe and salmon oyakodon rice was also delicious. The rice was also delicious. For all of this, I think 1900 JPY was good value . Thank you for the meal! It was delicious! I returned to the hotel and started checking in. There are rooms in two buildings. The hotel is a renovated chamber of commerce building, and the exterior and interior have been left as they are. There is a lounge on the third floor on the chamber of commerce side. The lounge is a very stylish space with a calm atmosphere and retro and antique furniture. This is the breakfast venue, and it also looks cozy. Night lounge time starts at 8pm. I found a welcome drink. It seems to be cafe time at this time. Check-in completed. Room 610 is here. I swipe my card to open. This time I booked a twin room. There is a large TV, a spacious bed, and an outlet and USB port at the headboard. There are plenty of outlets, which is very helpful! Kettle cup security box. There ‘s a water jug inside the refrigerator . Air purifier. Suitcase storage? Four hangers. Sofa and table. Super fast Wi-Fi. Phone and remote control. Tissues and mirror . Air conditioning. The bathroom is simple but stylish. There ‘s a sink with two cups. Hand soap and a hair dryer . Towels and a trash can. No bathtub, just a shower and rain shower . Body soap, conditioner, shampoo. The water pressure is excellent! The toilet is automatic and very clean. Of course, there’s a washlet . The large full -length mirror and the roomwear are cute. I brought two amenities. Hotel Guide : It’s a retro building with great stay service and reasonable prices, so I recommend it. I’ve also included an illustration. The laundry room has two washing machines and dryers , an ice maker, and a microwave. The simplicity of it. I’m taking the Otaru Canal cruise I booked in advance. OMO5 帰りましたら本当に素晴らしい楽しみです。 English: We are looking forward to having the cruise all to ourselves as it will be exclusively for guests staying in Otaru. We wait here until departure. The normal cruise fare is 1,800-2,000 JPY. It seems that the cruise will go around the Otaru Canal and Otaru Bay as well. This time, only 3 groups can board. There is only one boat for afternoon tea. The afternoon tea is for a limited time only and the 1-hour cruise fare is 4,800 JPY, where you can enjoy the cruise and LeTAO’s Western sweets. It’s very stylish and cute – parfait, financier, and tea sandwich . We have set sail . Thank you for seeing us off. The low ceiling lights under the bridge are beautiful. The stone walls have a very retro feel. Strawberry parfait , financier, cookie sandwich, and chocolate . We have entered Otaru Bay. There are many ships anchored – the waves are calm and there is little rocking, and you can see the large ships. It seems that you can see the night view of Otaru from the observation deck on Lucky Mountain . The tea gives off a wonderful aroma just by adding hot water. It is a clear brown color. Let’s eat. It is very flavorful and has a slightly sweet taste. The boat escorting the large ship seems to have airplane tires. I learned about it for the first time. I’m back on the Otaru Canal. Cruising is also great! I had a bacon sandwich? The sweet and salty flavors were a perfect harmony. The dough was purple! I wonder what kind of dough it was. Seagulls were flying everywhere. The moored boats seemed to be pleasure boats. Apparently they were boats that take passengers out to fish. The pyramid-shaped chocolate melted instantly when I put it in my mouth. It’s a historic building that was completed 94 years ago. It seems to be a warehouse left by Eiichi Shibusawa. It’s now a live music venue. The building with the triangular roof is apparently a market. Next, I had a cookie, a white chocolate cookie. I had a stylish strawberry parfait . The fresh cream wasn’t too sweet , but it was elegant and delicious . The strawberry sorbet was delicious! The green dots added an accent. I don’t know what those green dots are… も美味しかった。 焼 き鳥ってやっぱり美味しいね! English: What a luxurious cruise afternoon tea! A very old-looking warehouse. It seems like a pleasure boat has returned. The warehouse, which is over 100 years old and is a historical building, has slides on the second and third floors and was used for shipping cargo. Apparently Otaru also has a shachihoko (floor float) . It’s 150cm tall and that light isn’t just a light; it was floated in the sea as a landmark. Half of the cruise is over and we’ve arrived at the main attraction – the most famous warehouse. I ‘ll have a financier . Is this color strawberry? It’s refreshingly sweet and easy to eat. Each gas lamp on the Otaru Canal apparently costs 5 million yen. This is also an old warehouse. It seems to house a beer restaurant and brewery inside the warehouse. Otaru Beer is said to be a beer that doesn’t cause hangovers. The captain arranged for photo time, which is a rare opportunity to take photos from a different perspective than usual. We enjoyed the delicious afternoon tea , and the participants were also taking commemorative photos. The warehouse covered in ivy leaves apparently has a restaurant where you can enjoy robatayaki. And the warehouse with the name Shibusawa Warehouse has something amazing in it! There is a wedding hall and the cost is very reasonable. Apparently the reason so many old buildings remain is because there have been no major earthquakes. This is the end of our fun cruise. We arrived at the main street of Otaru Canal. It was around 7pm but most of the shops were closed and there weren’t many customers. The Rokkatei shop and Ogawa river were lit up and it was beautiful. As the sun was setting, the lights started to come on in the Otaru Canal. This was a gas lamp that cost 5 million yen. The atmosphere was gradually getting nicer. We also came back for a beer. The shop was crowded so we ordered a small size for takeout. It was getting dark and many tourists were taking photos. We returned to the hotel. It was almost time for the long-awaited night lounge. The atmosphere was calm and comfortable. From 9pm, we enjoyed the antique music box. Even after more than 100 years of music , the beautiful sound is still produced . It’s a luxury to be able to enjoy a drink while listening to this wonderful sound. There is a wide variety of original cocktails and desserts , and snacks are also available. Alcoholic beverages range from wine to whiskey, gin and tonic, and craft beer. You can order from the menu by scanning a QR code. There is such a wide selection that it’s hard to choose. After much deliberation, I ended up ordering Niagara sparkling wine. The Niagara (Muscat) had a strong flavor and was delicious. I moved to a seat where I could see the music box. It’s rare to see the music discs being changed, so I was very interested. The sound of the music box was pleasant, and time passed slowly. Thank you for the meal. I wonder how it makes the sound. There was another antique music box. I think I’ll sleep well tonight. Good night. Good morning . It’s raining. I’m going to have breakfast now . I’ll have breakfast in the lounge from yesterday. The plan without breakfast is 2,300 JPY. Freshly made churro parfait, chirashi , warm vegetables and squid shumai, sausage and bacon, scrambled eggs and eggs, breads , desserts, fruit, prosciutto , and snacks? Salads, delicious local rice , a wide variety of breads, rice and porridge, miso soup, soft drinks , a delicious breakfast : miso-braised mackerel and nanbanzuke chicken, squid and vegetable zangi , sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, warm vegetables and squid shumai, parfait chirashi , rice , squid shumai. We started with the delicious, squid flavor! The vegetable zangi , squid zangi, delicious, miso-braised mackerel, the fatty marinade , and the parfait chirashi. It seems like it takes a bit of skill to eat with chopsticks, but we’ll eat it with a spoon to make it easier to eat !?!? So delicious! I could eat any number of them! Colorful and beautiful squid shumai . Large churros are also on display. OMO5 It looks like a specialty of Otaru. The big one looks like this. Combined with hot chocolate , it was a delicious and crispy treat. I’m full now. The devil’s whispers here (lol). Thank you for watching the video up to this point. If you like this video, I’d be happy if you could rate it highly and subscribe to the channel.
