Hello, it’s Emi We’re heading to camp under a beautiful blue sky We’re heading to Takippara Campsite in Doshi Village Check-in is at 12 o’clock, it’s currently 10:30 We’re heading to Doshi Roadside Station for lunch Arrived at Doshi Roadside Station There were lots of motorbikes here today I got lunch from a food truck! Lots of deer antlers We were told we could eat the food we bought outside inside the store♪ My husband had pork cutlet curry (loads of ingredients!) With watercress, of course It’s been a year since my last campsite; it used to be called Takihara Auto Campsite The owner retired and Takihara closed down…but! It is now managed by the nearby Yagurazawa Auto Campsite and has been reborn as “Takippara Campsite” Reservations can now be made through “Nappu” Today I stayed at Ogawa Owner’s Lodge Type 52R for the first time in a while The temperature here is quite high at 32°C, at an altitude of about 650m It’s cool in the shade of the trees, and feels great when the breeze blows Setting up complete! It turned out that the container boxes containing plates, rice, dinner ingredients, coffee, etc. had not been loaded It appears that the container boxes had been left in the parking lot and left there I called an acquaintance who lives nearby and asked him to go and check on them, and he found that they had been left in the parking lot!! I’m so glad they were there!! I headed to Doshi Roadside Station and bought a souvenir as a thank you for an acquaintance I went shopping for ingredients at Lawson I was able to get all the ingredients I had forgotten at Lawson I bought drip coffee but realized I didn’t have any cups either I thought canned coffee would be fine! So I went to check the vending machines at the campsite Iced coffee was sold out (almost everything else was sold out too) Oh well, I’ll manage somehow! And I was finally able to take a break I had forgotten something, but I was relieved that an acquaintance was able to retrieve it for me I had always wanted to play in the river The water was so clear! It feels good Donuts bought at the roadside station Snack time The campsite is almost the same as the previous one at Takihara, but One of the sites at the back of the campsite has been upgraded to include a sauna tent The Doshi River Sauna has opened opposite that, so there seem to have been some changes We also finished predicting the results of the Saturday horse races, a secret pleasure for us as a couple The sky has darkened in the distance, and we can faintly hear thunder It looks like it’s raining in Otsuki Rainclouds have developed a little north of this spot, and it looks like they’ll move north The wind is blowing in colder than before I wanted my husband to experience how pleasant the river is, so I invited him out It felt great! Standing by as the horse race begins It looks like my husband has bet on an underdog The horse he bet on, number ⑥, is at the very back Horse ⑥, his favorite, was behind but has now caught up!! Next time it’ll be a hit!! The delicious, addictive chicken sashimi from my hometown tax donation There was also olive oil in the container I forgot I’ll try using truffle oil instead Today’s watercress has a punchy, bitter flavor Dinner is somen noodles Canned mackerel This is Chef Kasahara’s somen recipe Flake the canned mackerel Mix the natto well Place the shredded canned mackerel on the plate Drop the mixed natto and raw egg You can use just the egg yolk for the raw egg Put on some green onions on top Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce (it tastes even better if you sprinkle some bonito flakes on top) Boil the somen noodles and dip the warm noodles in the dipping sauce “Hippari Somen” is a Kasahara-style version of Yamagata Prefecture’s local dish, “Hippari Udon” It was my first time eating piping hot somen I panicked when I realized I’d forgotten something, but I was glad I was able to get it at Lawson I was very satisfied with the easy, delicious, warm somen As the sun went down, the heat eased, so we decided to make a bonfire (The sound of the motorbikes is really loud) It didn’t look like we had enough firewood, so I went out to buy some Apparently you can pay with cash or PayPay I bought a bunch of conifers It got dark in no time The light at the reception was too bright, so I couldn’t see much of the starry sky Getting ready for bed It was muggy, so I brought out the fan It was about 25°C As I was lounging around, it started to get light It was chilly in the middle of the night, so I turned off the fan and got into my sleeping bag When I woke up, I had a pleasant view of the river in front of me The men’s stall has one Japanese-style toilet and one washlet, so it seems to get crowded if you come at the wrong time (There are three urinals, and three women’s stalls) I forgot my coffee, so I bought some at the convenience store yesterday After I bought it, I realized I didn’t have any cups either I decided to wash the Mt. Rainier I had been drinking on the way and use that I’m glad I had something to use as a cup… I’ll have a cafe au lait The drip coffee from Lawson in Mt. Rainier was delicious I also bought some packed rice, so I’ll put it in a hot water bath There was quite a lot of germinated rice I put some cheese on it I had beef tendon curry My husband had green curry Curry that you just heat up is easy, delicious and the best Takippara Campsite, which reopened from Takihara Auto Campsite I’m so glad I was able to visit again I came to see the site at the back The site at the back is rectangular and larger (toilets and water are conveniently close by) The sound of the waterfall was loud and we could see the Doshigawa Sauna Site 11 was very spacious and had a tree in the middle I forgot something this time, but I was able to relax in a nice site along the river The Lawson that opened in Doshi Village quickly helped me out… and I’m also grateful to my acquaintances It’s almost time for this camping trip to end See you in the next video!
