good afternoon everyone welcome to my live stream from over here from a very very windy pagera i’m over in the Calvia municipality in the southwest of Morca today and my goodness the surf is up it’s We’ve got a very very windy day folks let me know if you can hear me let me know if you can see me most importantly if you can hear me actually try and find a little bit of a less windy spot here goodness me you can hear and see thank you Chris thank you so much good afternoon everyone welcome to my live stream and a bad hair day from over here in Pagera oh my goodness we have got finally a sunny Sunday it’s absolutely lovely sunny weather but we do have high winds now before I get this live stream underway I have to say a very big happy birthday to John in Birmingham john wishing you a very happy birthday today also I want to say a very big thank you to Tommy to James also to Lisa as well for the super chats I can see waiting for me too thank you very much for those um John and Maria I hope you are having a fantastic day over there in Birmingham um I’m going to turn the camera around and we’re going to check out Pagera today because I do believe we do have a summer starting over here in the southwest of the island if you’ve seen my videos from over in in Palmanova you’ll know that we’ve got the sun beds out if you know if you’ve seen my videos over in Santa P as well you would have seen the sun umbrellas have been put out too but let’s check out what Pagera is like today got to say though guys it’s absolutely freezing we’ve got about um highs of around 15 degrees today okay I’m not warm i’ve got the winter coat on but this is a live stream with guaranteed sunshine as you can see in front of me we have a little bit of of blue blue sky which has got to be the first actually for the first um for the first time in quite a few days actually we had absolutely horrible weather over here yesterday it started off okay and then it just kind of like turned into a very very rainy afternoon but things are hopefully going to be warming up and they’re going to be drying up as well as we head on towards April but look we’ve got plenty of people out today enjoying a little bit of sunshine over here in Pagera just looking over towards the Sto Ventor restaurant here and we’ve got the Happy Mag Holiday Resort right behind us too i think much of that is actually open the the actual resort itself i’ve seen a lot of holiday makers over there in their shorts and t-shirts today i would say though guys if you are coming over here I’ve seen a lot of holiday makers wearing full summer clothing including sandals it’s not that warm and it’s not going to be that warm this week either hopefully we’ll turn a corner the week after next as we head on into April but if you are coming over next week make sure you’ve got um some warm clothes with you and don’t forget as well check out my weather update video my weekly island update which will be out tomorrow i’ll give you a bit more of an in-depth weather forecast but we’ve still got a corner to turn with regards to the weather now look just looking out over here um over Ply Romana Beach you can see we’ve got the sunshine susan you’re saying you braved your bikini on your balcony in Camp Mar today that’s hilarious i’ll tell you what guys i’ve had I’ve had a really good friend of mine coming over to the island this weekend and this morning was actually really nice if you do find a sunny and shady spot with the sun out even though the temperature might say it’s 14 or 15 degrees she actually came in off our terrace this morning saying she was burning it was so hot so when you’re out of the wind and you’re in the sun it can be very very nice let’s keep going around the corner goodness me right in this live stream I’ve already decided we’re going to head on up through the center of the resort and then come back down the backside of um Play Palm so we’re not walking into the wind the whole way i hope the audio is still okay here look some of the the polls haven’t uh are blowing over actually in this wind jonah Marie thank you so much for your super chat bless you that’s very generous of you thank you so much i should be buying should be buying Jon a um a birthday drink but that’ll hang on for a few more months yet how many more days have you got for your countdown on the runup to your portable holiday every week that goes by it’s a little bit less now stick with me even though look you can see just looking up at this the sky here it’s a little bit cloudy we have got bluer skies approaching or I should say that cloud should be moving away very soon we can see the absolutely gorgeous seas that we have from over here i do however wish they do this path calvia municipality if you are listening get this path done over here in Berrett it’s very it’s not very it’s not too great on the whole walking here it’s very jagged it’s not very accessible either and look we’re just turning the camera around here look we can see somebody venturing along the shoreline times like this actually you do need the lifeguards out very very choppy waters but we might actually see some surfers on the next couple of beaches let’s head on up whoa look at this today the sea has really come in we don’t tend to get tides over here and for those of you who are regulars over here in Pagari you’re going to know as well how large this beach is how how large Grand Tour Beach is and it’s almost been chopped in half today by by the amount of waves that have been coming up along the beach let me just head um in this area here very very choppy wet choppy seas today i do suspect we’re going to start to see some more restaurants open i hope this I really do hope this audio is okay today normally when it’s very windy it blows out the sound see everyone’s just watching the waves today as well let me let me me head on into this chat kerry five days until you’re back in Poensa just in time for your birthday next Monday brilliant clive and Glenn you guys love Pagera too john I hope you’re feeling well today over in Belfast diane good afternoon look check this out look they’ve got a little bit further with the umbrellas over here on the side of of Pagar have started to get the toppers out i can see actually and I don’t think they had security boxes on these beach umbrellas in Pagera last year but you can see they’ve got them wrapped around little middle bits they kind of double up as table as well tables to pop your drinks on too so you can keep your valuables safe and um and have your cocktails on the table as well is the Beverly Ply open at the moment quite possibly yes it is i just saw somebody coming out with some drinks you can tell actually by the temperatures and the fact everyone’s wrapped up in coats that it’s it’s not very warm like I said if you are out of the wind it is lovely and toasty now is it just my imagination guys and I’m going to have to look back on my videos from last year but are there a lot more beach on brothers over here than there were last year i was thinking that actually looking over on Satisi Beach in Palmanova it looks like they’re they’re getting even more out i’m sure of it or did they stretch all the way down here too i don’t know can’t remember does seem like rather a lot maybe I’m just used to seeing really empty beaches from the winter but um it does look like it is they’re really maximizing out every every inch of sand down here with those beach umbrellas linda wishing your mom as well a speedy recovery she’s having an operation on Thursday i’ve just spotted that wish wish her my best tracy good afternoon from Bllythe up north john five weeks until you’re in Calidor then 18 weeks later you’re in Porter Poensa love it go for the double holiday now that even over the winter these bars that I’m approaching here some of these were actually open over the winter months they’re open today and they’re quite busy because out of like I said out of the wind they’re quite nice and sheltered got La Vida open just give you a few views here of the beach and see what it’s like let’s take a walk down now these sunbeds are going to be um available for rent very very soon i’d say from the 1st of April actually over here oh god that was a pigeon flying right at me that I don’t know i don’t know if he got any of that on camera this pigeon literally flew at me as these dogs started chasing it that got um that was actually really scary anyway watch out for flying pigeons i think it’s only a matter of time before these places open too like I said in my in my previous videos I think a lot of places are going to be opening that first weekend of April if not on the 1 of April actually we’re going to see more and more restaurants opening over here i have to say as well yesterday I was with my friends in Palmy and it was extremely busy too so there are already a lot of people over here and I’m guessing a lot of people are going to Palmer just because it’s it’s um it’s got more things open which I always think it’s such a shame that that the big resorts places like Palmanova aren’t opening up until the first weekend of April because there just seems to be lots lots and lots of people over here at the moment john you’re saying that Pagera has certainly changed from your last trip over over here which was over 45 years ago my goodness Lee flying pigeons i know shouldn’t be allowed goodness me Dave you were here in in March 2000 and you remember the weather being great it’s about 22 degrees this is actually a great resort i really do love it down here I have to say because it’s like Palmanov you’ve got three beaches and um the very first beach that we started off from is just I mean it’s just gorgeous you’ve got this huge sweeping beach here as well and as we go around the corner as well we’ll see the really lovely turquoise waters of of Ply Palmira but we’re going to head on up into let’s head on up into the center of the resort just going to give you a few idea ideas of of menu prices here and it’s from one of the places I’m guessing up in this little square here around 20 I don’t know what it is they haven’t got it all in English 22 euros 90 for a spargle mitt Peter leak the kraken i don’t know what that is i’ve just made that up i’m sorry don’t speak German i’m so sorry but it does sound quite nice and it looks like they’ve got a menu delier here for around 15 so we’ve got some of the places open you can see that they pulled down these little tollos here that um create time and this is what it’s looking like today now we’re coming back off uh oh it’s a lot it’s a lot more shelter back here we shouldn’t have the winds blowing in our faces actually when I come back onto the beach a little bit later on we’ll have the wind behind us but we’re just coming up on into Pagera Resort and the whole load of restaurants that we do have over here and lots of them are open look this little Austrian restaurant here as well look this is this is currently open and John that’s the first time I’ve seen that open actually come over here just take a look right just going to dive into the chat as well i do apologize i’ve missed so many of your um of your chats here as well but look how lovely and green and leafy and sheltered and shaded um Pagara is this is a fantastic area marie good afternoon six weeks today you’re going to be in Palmanova and you’re really looking forward to it and rightly so you’re going to be here right at the beginning of the season right as all the the bars and restaurants open it’s going to be fantastic so just actually if you are coming to Bera and need to come off the main beach there we do have a taxi rank right to my left hand side just as you come up through that little square behind the beach also we’re just walking past one of the bus stops as well and these run all the way through the resorts i see someone with a suitcase i’m pretty sure they’re heading towards the airport because of course from over here in Pagari you can get the A11 bus and that’ll take you directly over to Palmer airport it cost you probably around €5 which is an absolute bargain and look all the way around the back here we’ve got little cafes already open serving up some Sunday lunch now this this resort is very very popular with our our German visitors but I’ve noticed over the years it really does attract very much of an international crowd let me know in comments actually if you if you come over here on holiday if you’re not from Germany tally oh bless you thank you so much for your super chat this afternoon as well once again really really appreciate it look we have as well a Mayen restaurant right in front of me i might just go and quickly look and I know it’s Mayor Keen because I can see on the board they’re serving Ko al ao and that is rabbit with with garlic with a garlic sauce and that’s a really very much very much a a mayo dish i’ve also got all sorts of seafood and other meat dishes on there as well but um if you are looking to try some some local Mayorian cuisine this could be the place for you to go and check this out too look if you do come over and you’ve brought too many winter clothes with you there’s still plenty of tourist shops all along this strip which are open already and actually as I walk into the sun the sun is is feeling very very strong so Pagera has not escaped from its uh its fair share of building works as well as you know from my my adventures around the resorts you’ll know that um building works are taking place just about everywhere some of them look like they’ve only just started but some of them still have a little bit of a way to go including the the Wiki cocktail bar here look that actually doesn’t look like much more has been done to it since I was last down here i bet the panic will be on soon when they realize that the season is is starting very very soon just going off to Calabona to the Proto Alythia Hotel in four weeks very nice beza you’re coming over on the 1st of May is it warm over there it will be it’ll be much warmer than it is now i won’t be my my winter coat in in May and I’m pretty sure everyone will be on the beaches but we will still get a little bit of mixed weather and we will get slightly cooler days but hopefully I’m going to be back in my shorts by then it won’t be boiling hot or scorching hot but it should be quite nice if you want to um check out a restaurant review as well I don’t think this is open today but this is probably my favorite restaurant non-sponsored I have to say i came over here for lunch last summer they do traditional Spanish food it’s not so much traditional mayor food but traditional Spanish food and it was absolutely delicious so another good choice as well and look all these little shops here look they’re all opening up too giran good afternoon you’re late oh bless you and you super chatted me thank see just how nice it is i was actually quite surprised to find out how many superlux properties we have on the island how many fivestar properties look if you’re traveling on the budget as well I’ve got a grillmeister to my right hand side we did have a question on the Mora Under the Sun Facebook group just the other day asking about five-star properties over here on the island and uh in the comments below I think we basically constructed quite a good list so if you’re not a member of the Morca Under the Sun Facebook group make sure you head on over there after this live stream and go and back in Poensa Oldtown soon and you can’t wait i must do a few more Poetsa Oldtown videos actually I do have also a guide on the channel which I made at the beginning of the year and it’s a guide to Poyena Oldtown but I will pop out and see how that town is changing as we head on into the summer and also you can get an idea of of how busy it’s going to be as well if you’re planning planning a trip and maybe find out the best times to go but there’s lots of information in that video as well and you can see how how you can get around the old town too so make sure you go and check it out if you’re a first time visitor to that corner of the island now I don’t think is the vill open yet a little bit hard to tell actually yes I can see some people in there just do a full 360 around here look now last time I came down here I think it was in January and there wasn’t a soul in sight it was it was such a such an empty resort it was very very bizarre look I’m just going to go around the corner here just want to show you what else is around the corner here in the center of Pagera but it had to be the most empty resort I’d has a look at over the winter months so it’s nice to see much of it has come back to life look even around the back streets if you do explore the resort you’re going to find some of the little restaurants here i can see a Chinese at the top just get off the road got a nice looking Italian here and that’s right in front of the Valentine Raina Pagera Hotel many of the hotels actually just a little bit set off set back off the off the front let’s get back onto walking down in the middle of the roads goodness right let me just get back over to the side here look but it is looking quite busy over here and I do know on my on my adventures around the island I’ve seen actually I’ve seen and I’ve heard quite a lot of German visitors not just cyclists but um German visitors over here on holiday look just looking left here we’re going to head on down to the waterfront on the way back we’re going to make our way back down and we’ll have the wind behind us got another fantastic value restaurant to my right hand side little Mayoking bar here this Maria Yuenia bar has always proved to be consistently good value ronnie you’re saying we love the hotel Santa Lucia in Palmanova and you’ll be going and this is this the sixth sixth time you’re going in sixth time you’re going in July that’s amazing if that isn’t a a referral I don’t know what is james good afternoon sorry just joining it took you took too long in Asda oh lucky you going to Asda today i’d love to go to Asda things we get excited about um hope it’s all going well 30 minutes behind and don’t mention the last bit kind of forgetting about that gaba Gaba video you’re saying “Hi Alex am I going to feel cold midappril in Alcusia?” I hope not but you could feel a little bit chilly at times i’m going to put that that caveat in it should warm up in April but there there are going to be times and particularly up in Alcuzia it tends to be a little bit more of a windy windy resort a windier resort than some of the other resorts on the island because of the bay although saying that today normally very sheltered at Pagera looks like we’ve got a tornado blowing through it but um yeah it can get windy up in Alcudia so like I always say take a variety of clothes with you take lots of warm clothes take your summer clothes as well but make sure you’ve got some jeans and trainers and uh few you know like a big big sweatshirt as well big hoodie or something like that to stay warm during the day but I had a look at the long-term weather forecast for April and it’s not looking too bad actually so hopefully let’s just get all this rainy weather and this wind out of the way before April hits oh see an ice cream uh little ice cream stand over there how tempting is that oh look it looks like there’s something going on over here as well look it’s residents day i call it residence day Sunday it’s a big day for um all the residents coming out onto the beaches and look you can see some surfers in the water here we’ve got a good view of them here see someone just catching a wave not often you do get surf down here but when the wind does pick up Pagera does turn into quite a nice surf spot got a few a few places on the island like that like over in Calayor which is my neighborhood and also down the east coast as well maybe that surf will be pumping down there ah J I can’t pronounce your name job Bon Burch you’re coming to Beera from March the 28th until April the 5th well I have a fantastic time and if you are wondering if summer’s started down here well it has look everything is open this has gone from being one of the most empty resorts over the winter and one of the quietest resorts to I would say one of the busiest we’ve just got a lot of people over here this afternoon and these aren’t residents i can see the holiday makers and I’m so pleased that a lot of restaurants and a lot of the shops have opened up as well to cater for you let’s just get some views from over here too this is normally like quite a nice little beach bar in the summer actually this hasn’t opened but normally we have the tables and chairs out let’s get a few views look and even down this side of the beach and it is a little bit more shelter down this far side of Palmira Beach you’ve got the sunbeds out already you’ve got the beach umbrellas out already you got the surface in the water it’s absolutely stunning goodness gracious me how beautiful anyway come on let’s go let’s go up and around the back we’ll join the beach a little bit further down how’s the reception today folks please let me know sorry for all the questions that’s what I’m here for this is your opportunity you can get a live answer is it possible to go uh to visit Calidor from Alcuzia on public transport um yes it is i wouldn’t recommend it if you can get a car for the day do that otherwise you’re going to be spending like a whole day of your holiday just on buses you’d have to go um roughly Um don’t quote me something like Alusia to Camp Pikaphor and then Camp Pikaphor there’ll be probably a bus heading on down towards Kalera Harda kalera then all the way down the coast through Porter Cristo all the way down Porter Colom down to Calidor i would say maybe save that for another holiday just my opinion or you could possibly head towards Manicor and then change there have a look on tib.org which is the the public bus website and you can type um where you’re starting your journey and where you’re finishing your journey it will give you a route with timings as well so you can figure out whether it’s going to be worth making that making that journey if you do get off the bus get off in Calidor Center if you want to go and explore some of the beaches that you’ve seen in my videos as well because you can walk around um Calipatita Caligran and then walk over to Cal Esmeralda which I’m guessing is still a bit of a building site and then over to Califera and look even this huge like tourist center here look it’s massive shop it’s it’s humongous you’re just not short of of shops down here look and we have got um got another bus stop here buses here go to Port Andrach Parlmer Palmer also probably the airport as well at some point and if you are looking for somewhere to stay I can already say stay down this end of the resort because it is very very shelters i’m absolutely boiling over here and uh we haven’t got the winds that we we saw right at the beginning of the stream i will get right back into the chat but I just want to show you if you are heading to the market if you are coming over here for all you early season holiday makers you can just see the the Pagera Beach property if you are heading down to the markets it’s a little bit further along here it takes place I think it is oh goodness it’s on a Wednesday i think it’s on a Wednesday morning the market takes place and you have to come up and around this corner here of which look you’ve got even more restaurants around here that you’ve got another lovely Italian but um the market takes place right at the end of this street let me just quickly show you just right at the end of this street here and there’s also a huge little supermarket as well up on the left hand side i think the Mercadon might actually have shut down but anyway come on let’s let’s head on down and go and get some some nice sea views fa good afternoon shame you’re at work you’re not sat at home watching 95 days and counting with all the family please say hi to your husband Richard who you know is is watching good afternoon Richard sean what’s the weather looking like from the 5th of April i don’t know yet catch my my Monday island update i always have a a weather forecast right at the end of that video going to wait for a little bit longer um I always try and leave like it looks okay actually it looks like it’s going to be okay she might get a little bit of mixed weather but once again like I said it’s not quite summer summer yet will I be going to Calidor for an update anytime soon yes I hope to be out and about on the island this week i’m not sure whether I need to make a plan for the week i do have some other work on as well so I need to fit that into um but yeah I am going to be out and about on the island this week because it does look like apart from maybe tomorrow we’re going to be getting some some better weather thank goodness cuz it has been very very hard to film and if you’re wondering how hard it has been to film go and check out my video from last Friday um over in Palmanova and I as I walked into Magaloo I had to abandon filming the weather was just uh pretty bad but I think things are going to be on the up and they’re going to improve right let’s get down onto the beautiful waters of Pia Palmira Beach it’s absolutely gorgeous down here even though it looks like some of those beach umbrellas are going to get washed away there used to be a jetty here and they’ve they’ve kind of taken it out and they’ve concreted this area let’s have a little look out up across the water and you can just see the surface out in the distance look at this Steven only 151 days until you arrive that’s not too bad yeah the seat is looking beautiful wheelers at large let me know what the cues are like on the second over at the airport actually keep me up to date actually about your experience your experiences over at the airport always just drop a comment and I’m a bit behind on my comments actually on catching up on replying to comments but I do see them even if I’m in a supermarket queue or something i do see them pop up so let me know what your experience has been traveling on over to the island tally you’re saying “Do I know if the airport cues will improve by May or June is it an issue at all the Balieric airports?” Um the customs queue the border control not the customs queue sorry the border control queue the passport checking queue for all third country travelers um post Brexit regardless of where you’re traveling to in Europe it is going to be an issue just due to the influx of holiday makers and those third country passport holders so I think it will be an issue however also to added to that we’ve got big renovations taking place over at Palmer Airport is that going to impact or get worse as we go on into the summer i have actually asked Palmer Airport for an update they say that the new terminal A will be open opening um later on in the season i don’t think it’s going to be open from April the 1st but I’m going to try and ask ask them for weekly updates and keep you guys posted as well and ask them if they can try and get an update from the police as well with regards to the amount of people on passport control like I said I want to give you the good news on this channel tobias I think the word nonsense is uh well used there it is a bit of a nightmare but um I did try and explain in my last video but I don’t know some of your comments as well you all had a point i can’t I can’t really criticize what you guys have been saying at all terry and Karen from Newark you’re coming to Beera in 36 days and you’re staying in the Valentine Somni Hotel the Valentine Hotels are actually amazing over here and if you’re on the Facebook group Louise um who’s one of our lovely admins she stayed over on the at the Valentine one of the Valentine hotels a couple of years ago ann and I went down to go and have dinner with her one evening and it’s absolutely fantastic it’s a fantastic chain really good quality hotels and super friendly staff and look how much the water has come in so you can see look you can see the little line here where the sand goes from being very light to kind of very dark brown color that’s where the waves have come in so I think on this side of the beach we’re going to stay on the walkway it’s going to get washed away on the live Saxon yes they should really when the weather’s like this I think we’ve definitely got enough holiday makers out to warrant having lifeguards on the beaches so um once again I’m pretty sure the town halls do watch my videos i think maybe in future years if you’re expanding the the the tourism offering over here in Mayor York then getting lifeguards on the beaches really should be a thing in April because still I’ve seen people swimming every single day even when it’s raining over here and with the amounts of people we can see over here on Pagera Beach and like I said many of many of them are visiting holiday makers i know that because they’re wearing shorts and they’re wearing sandals and you can tell the residents because we’re still in jeans and coats so um it might be worth considering in the future getting some lifeguards on the big beaches before um the first the 1 of May and we’re going to notice that actually as we head on into April but goodness me look check out all these restaurants now like I said I was in Palmy yesterday and it was packed it was absolutely packed even here on a Sunday i don’t think you can even get a table in some of these restaurants on the waterfront always make sure you book before you try and get a get a table especially on the Sunday brendan 24 days for you before staying in Arinal for a couple of weeks i’m pretty sure you’re going to enjoy that it’s going to be lively i will head over that way pretty soon as well carl five five days for you you’re coming over for a wedding in Palmanova oh that’s lovely that’s going to be very very nice wheels at Large you stayed in Santa Ponza and cycled with friends out of Pagaria in 2023 you had a great holiday bella you’re asking do you still have to take out liquids security at Morca airport um you’ve heard that it’s changed yes go back and check my any of my flight videos most recently they do have new equipment over in Palmer Airport you just basically don’t have to separate your electronics or your liquids from your bags you just put your entire bag in one of the trays pop it on and it goes straight on through and it’s no faffing and it means as well you don’t lose stuff either which is which is really good so that’s working out quite nicely also means as well you’re not getting that that queue over at security like you used to do with everyone taking your stuff out their bags which is such a nightmare quick price check here just because we’re looking at a board here i’m outside um one of the restaurants here glass of Sangria is €5 that’s uh it’s a bit that’s a bit steep isn’t it sorry but um just my opinion we do have tapas dishes though for €8 each i’m going to be running a post actually and I’m going to be putting a call out and I may as well start that now anybody who’s over here on holiday who has experienced fantastic customer service and we need the full combo here great customer service and value for money and also great food as well feel free to head on over to the Mora Under the Sun Facebook group take some pictures of your meal let us know what it is like and how amazing the restaurants are make sure you do that for me because um we’re all about championing value for money and great food as well doesn’t have to be necessarily cheap but if the food is amazing and the staff give you a really good experience that’s what I want to know about this summer is it worth the money this is what it’s all about this summer it’s not just about pumping the prices up and expecting everyone to pay and serving you with not so much as a smile on your face either and then taking your cash at the end of it it’s not about that we’re looking for great great value for money great quality and great service and look we don’t have the lifeguards out today but we do have the swim with caution flag which is yellow and no lifeguards in the lifeguard tower that’s an orange flag so um at least they’re putting some flags out just to let you know but I think if we I think anyone with the eyes can see that um it’s a bit it’s a bit stormy on the seas today john I’m glad that you think as well that um you’re seeing more sunbeds and beach umbrellas too there’s just not much space there used to be quite a lot of space here look I’m just turning around you can see there’s a little bit of a gap in between this is a sunbedree area but um they really have blanketed the beaches and we all know what that means june you always go in May for your um for your birthdays and you always drop on when the weather is beautiful and warm and Kala Malor for the first was it the first two weeks of May last year was lovely brilliant jack you’re off to the Kalis de Morca in May after seeing my video and you can’t wait for a relaxing holiday you will have a relaxing holiday but I think I’m going to update those videos this year i think I might may take a trip out there and it’s such a such a long drive actually so um I will get out there at some point and give you an update from over at the calls of Morca if if that resort still offers amazing value just like see the yacht actually let’s see what it’s like this year sean this will be your third time on the island when you first came out in 2018 you stayed in Sea Yacht and that’s when you had that huge storm wow I remember that and people got washed out to sea yes that was um that was pretty crazy is it just me or are there just so many people out here today loads of people i was going to say that looks like a school trip but they’re drinking beer maybe it’s a university trip nice little bar open here as well which is looking rather busy i think this is the Biwe but yeah these sunbeds aren’t yet up for rent and if they were I wonder how many people would be renting them today but like you can see here all the way down through Perry we’ve got a lot of people sitting out on the wall let’s get down onto the beach actually for the last last part of this beach because come the summertime we won’t be able to walk actually out onto the beaches let’s going go down towards the water’s edge we’re going rogue let’s go off the path just because it’s absolutely packed just so many people down there lee that’s hilarious 10 points for guessing which hotel you’d recommend for quality and friendliness do you know I should do that with hotels as well not just restaurants and bars but um once again it’s it’s about providing value for money and just an amazing experience a friend of of mine we went for lunch the other day over in Gila in Palmer and we had a really great fantastic value for money meal and the restaurant itself I wouldn’t say it’s a tourist restaurant not by any means but the service in there was absolutely outstanding and the people there were so friendly and I just think it’s so important especially if you’re here on holiday you’ve been working hard all year and and prices are going to be pretty much on us probably like double what they were last year in terms of hotels and flights it’s so important that you given a good experience so I want to hear about your great experiences this year not just not just the restaurants and the bars but al also in the hotels too it’s coming quite close to me you got look at the waves it’s crazy today let’s have a look oh I’ve this uh on this lovely day over here in Pagera got to say this side of the resort is is a lot warmer than it is where I started the video today and Tally yes it is such a stunning island everyone keeps asking me where my favorite place is but um I I love so much of it actually oh hang on a second what can I see here on the sand that my friends is a jellyfish just a very little one there just where my foot is oh there’s a I can see they’ve got some of those um little tiny jellyfish there look don’t if you can see they’ve got little blue sails on them those don’t really sting you but um like I say I wouldn’t recommend playing with any type of jellyfish on the water and those little blue sail jellyfish I can’t remember the the their their official name they’re called something like velllas or something but um they tend to blow when they blow in one day they tend to blow out pretty much a day or so later look they’re all all along the shoreline here too but over here in Pagera as well like they are doing on all the tourist beaches they’re getting them cleaned up pretty quickly as well just because of the amount of people that we have over here on holiday at the moment we’re going to get a few views actually we’re going to go back to um Grand Tour Beach but I just want to walk down this part here because views from over here are just absolutely gorgeous too now don’t forget Pera is not like Palmanovi unfortunately we can’t walk around that point some lucky local there look it’s got a very nice nice house on the hill there’s no access around but um let me just run up this uh hill here by the showers and look let’s get some nice views down here of Palmira Beach you can just see look there’s this little line of jellyfish just running down along the shoreline here yes velllas velas that’s it that’s what they’re called little blue jellyfish and they shouldn’t have any sting in them really what’s the temperature Ian you’re asking me it’s this morning it started off about 14 degrees now it’s about 15 the wind is actually making it feel a lot colder which is why I’m all wrapped up i’m just going to shine the camera as well over towards California so you can just see to my left hand side here they’ve got plenty going on around there i might do a quick update video from around there at some point as well if that is of interest to you just see a surfer limbering up on the beach as well that getting ready getting ready to go in chris and Jasmine don’t worry the weather will pick up at the end of April um but always bring out always bring out a few Tony good afternoon over in Ireland linda you say I’ve never said what my favorite resort is over um over here oh gosh it it does it changes it changes i’ve got lots of favorites i can’t actually put my finger on one if I only had to go to one resort maybe I’ll make that video actually and I just I just kind of like have a good think about it but um there are there’s something I love about every single one of them actually one of my favorite areas though is a Porto Poens so just because the Pinewalk never looks like it ever changes it’s just so beautiful up there and I always sit for ages especially this winter actually I was sitting up on the pinewalk and there’s nobody around i was just like thinking why is there nobody why am I the only person here like it’s it’s crazy such a beautiful place on the island and just being having it to yourself is uh is really is something oh I must say a big hello to Joe and Sue as well hopefully I’ll see you this week in Palmanova at some point kate then you’re from Payton in Devon and you’d love to know how long the bus journey is from Palmer Nova to Oldtown to to Palmer Oldtown um probably around 25ish minutes at the very most maybe 20 it’s not far if you don’t hit traffic um you’ll be down there in in around 20 25 minutes it’s a lot quicker than driving around Paintton and and the surrounding countryside i can assure you that’s the one good thing actually on the islands unless you’re going from like Aludusia down towards Calidor or to the south of the islands most places are quite easil easily reachable let’s head on up this slope and we’re going to I’m going to drop down i’m also going to show you as well if you don’t know if you’re a first-time visitor to Pagara where you pick up the the tour the cruise ships from as well the the day tripper boats the corn cruise I should say which is a great cruise that heads on out along the coast if you want to see what the coastline is like goodness me it’s so windy I don’t know if you can see my hair looking there it’s definitely a bad hair day today should have worn my hat different Spencer but Spencer this is welcome all the same lovely to have you here um Spencer number two right let’s head on now that is supposed to be the accessibility path there down to Ply Palra um anybody with mobility issues I recommend going down the high street first and approaching it from that way um there’s less of a slope i wouldn’t like to be going up or down that slope look I just show you um I’m sure you’ve seen it if you’ve if you’ve watched my channel before look how steep that slope is to get down to you get down there at a rate of knots if you’re in a wheelchair and you didn’t have your brakes on so I definitely recommend taking that approach from the the far side think um but they do do a really nice little boat trip from over here on the corn cruises which takes you off down the coast and you can either go out and see the dolphins or you can if you if you do spot them or you can go snorkeling they normally do a swim spot as well but um if you do want to see a little bit more of the area which is absolutely gorgeous feel like I’m these people walk off i’m like literally walking right behind them andrew being told off dawn hello good afternoon Dawn as well joseph you’re staying in Santa Ponza on the 9th of May for a week i’m pretty sure you’ll see me i’ve I’ve done very few few Santa Ponza videos this year actually my first one was the last weekend but um I’ve got a lot of making up to do in Santa Pa so if you are getting the Coron cruise you can see a little jetty just over here i think it’s where these people are heading i’m not going to go too far down there just because it does get a little bit um little bit closed up just have a little walk over here hold on cruisers obviously when we have weather like this they wouldn’t run because I don’t think it’ be a pleasant experience for anybody um oh look we can get onto the beach from here as well but um during the summer as well they’ve got a nice little beach bar down here too it’s kind of hidden away nice little beach bar which I suspect will will open up now if you didn’t catch my video from last Friday from over in Palmanova um I have been told that the prices of the beach beds and the sun umbrellas for this year over in Calvia so over in in Palmanova Magaloo Santa Panza Pagera Illetes and all the other smaller places too they are going to remain the same so it’s around €650 for a beach brother for the day and €650 for a sunbed so it’s about €20 and look got the jellyfish down here as well those fella blue sailing jellyfish also East End boy you’ve watched my videos oops you’ve watched my videos and um you like the island so much you’re coming back in April brilliant david you’re saying your favorite place is Calabona you know I love Calabona as well fab friendly place great value for money friendly people friendly hotels and it hasn’t been hit yet by by too much um of the all the upgrading that’s been taking place around the islands i hope it doesn’t get hit because they’ve got such a such a great um market over there already john you sat in your camper van at Salt Burn on Sea i know Saltburn on Sea and it’s just as rough this could be Saltburn on Sea but you can’t wait to get back to Santa Ponza next month in fact John what is the weather like over there in Saltburn i bet it’s um I’m wondering if you got sunshine yeah I am sure there’s more sunbeds and beach umbrellas absolutely tons of them down here linda that’s a very good point do you know what all you guys saying in Santa Ponza in Magaloo in Palmanova you can so easily come down here and and do a day trip down here as well because it is fantastic and like I said they’ve got some great places to eat and amazing scenery a beautiful beaches and you just have to jump on one of the many buses that will bring you all the way down here i can’t remember the bus numbers but once again if you go on to tib.org all the all the resorts in Calvia are linked up by a fantastic bus service it’ll probably take you about 10 15 minutes from Santa Ponza Joseph yes everything will be up
