10分鐘到橫濱 | 川崎購物超便利 300家商店大商場 LAZONA PLAZA | Le Front + 異國風情 LA CITTADELLA
Morning, everyone! In the last video, we introduced how convenient shopping in Kawasaki is. So today, we’ll take a walk around Kawasaki Station to explore the area and check out the nearby shopping malls. Before we go, we’re stopping by McDonald’s for the kids’ breakfast since they just got new Happy Meal toys! Alright, let’s check it out! Oh, look! The toys they’re offering now are from the first series. The second batch starts on the 27th of this month. Robbie chose the Sumikkogurashi toy. We’re done with breakfast, so let’s check out the malls connected to Kawasaki Station! First, there’s Le Front. It’s really convenient, just take the sky bridge and you’re right there. On the third floor, you’ll find the popular Workman Girl, and Montbell is on the sixth floor. For kids, there’s the brand Nishimatsuya, and on the 7th and 8th floors, there’s a sports equipment store that spans over 3,300 square meters. Also you’ll find a big electronics store and a supermarket on the ground floor. The fourth floor has a lot of lifestyle goods and 100 yen shops. And on the 10th floor, there’s an aquarium and an amusement park, so you can check those out while shopping. Wow, this mall is really well-decorated and has a great vibe! To the left, this entire area is the electronics store. This mall also has a well-known yakiniku chain and a pretty delicious soup curry place. After we go through Le Front, I’m going to show you a spot with a bit of a European feel. There are places to eat here, and the buildings and atmosphere really give off a European vibe. And it’s about a 5-minute walk from the east exit of Kawasaki Station. Here we are! Don’t you think it feels like we’re in Europe? At first glance, doesn’t it give you the impression of a little Italian town? There are plenty of restaurants here, with Italian food and pizza. If you’re at Kawasaki Station, you should definitely consider eating here! Such a calm and beautiful setting. If we keep walking forward, we’ll reach the Ginryu Shopping Street in Kawasaki. Ginryu Street is where the locals hang out and do their everyday shopping. You’ll find grocery and drugstores, and lots of restaurants around here. This store has really cheap stuff! If you’re around here, you should stop by. After passing through Ginryu Street, you’ll reach Ginza Street. There are a lot of places to eat here. I recommend this one, Tenryu. It’s really delicious! You can see a lot of people lining up at the entrance. There’s also a very popular Chinese ramen place nearby. The reviews on Tabelog are pretty good too. It’s really quite delicious, especially the char siu—it’s amazing! But you have to eat standing here, so it’s not the best if you’re with kids. Look! There’s already a long line of people here. Seeing this long line, you can tell how popular this ramen place really is. Alright, time to walk back to Kawasaki Station. On the way back, we can walk through Kawasaki Underground Mall (AZALEA). It’s also linked to atre department store. So, Kawasaki is really a great place for shopping! Now we’re taking the kids to try the Christmas special donuts! This is just too cute! Another great thing about staying in Kawasaki is that it’s just one stop to Yokohama by train. If you take the Tōkaidō Line, it only takes 10 minutes. Getting to Ueno takes around 20 minutes, and Shibuya is only half an hour away. Also, you get more space and better rates here than a lot of hotels in central Tokyo. Kawasaki Station is very spacious and bright, and look—there are so many beautiful flower balls hanging up there! Time to hop on the train to Yokohama! We’re taking the Keikyu Line, and it takes about 13 minutes. We’re here in Yokohama! We’ve got a family day planned this afternoon because we promised the kids we’d hit the Keikyu Railway Museum and Pokémon Center. The Keikyu Railway Museum is very close to Yokohama Station, just a 10-minute walk away. You’ll also pass the HARA Model Railway Museum, but it’s better for kids over six. So, if your kids are railway fans, you can plan a visit to Yokohama for this. Wow! I really miss Yokohama! It’s been quite a while since I’ve been here. Now Yokohama has so many new spots! Next time, I’ll make a video and share it with you all. Yokohama Station is as lively as ever, and shopping here is really convenient. The department stores and shopping malls are right at the station! Just around the corner on the right is the HARA Model Railway Museum. The Keikyu Museum is a few more minutes ahead. Turn left up ahead and walk a bit more, it’s right there. You’ll find the entrance on the side. There are three sessions a day for the hands-on workshop, and you can book in advance! I bet railway fans would love it here, since they can see so many different trains. The inside has a really nostalgic, old-school vibe. All of the facilities inside are free to try. Entrance to the museum is free, but you’ll need to pay for the interactive activities. This place is perfect for the kids to have a good time. This is the space for the hands-on workshop. You need to make a reservation in advance, and once confirmed, the staff will give you a train car assembly kit. But even if you don’t have a reservation, you can still visit the museum and enjoy the free exhibits. You can check the session times and when they end right here. Some finished handmade pieces are displayed here. This one also requires a small fee—100 yen per session. From here, kids can see the trains in action. It’s pretty cool! Before you leave, don’t forget to pick up some souvenirs! Right next to the Keikyu Museum, there’s a Shiseido S/PARK Cafe. Unfortunately, it’s closed today, or else I would have gone in to record a video and share it with everyone. If you’re here, you should definitely try their afternoon tea. Alright, now we’re heading to the Pokémon Center! Wow, look at all these cute figurines! It looks like some of them are limited editions. Chiikawa is really everywhere! How cute is this! They’ve got tons of merchandise here. We’re here! This Pokémon Center is massive, even bigger than the one we went to in Kanazawa last time! Whoa, what’s that up on the ceiling? Is that Kyogre up there? Up close, it’s really spectacular! There are so many Pokémon plushies here, and the sign says there’s going to be a sale event at the end of April! Even the checkout line is packed, it’s wild! This is the featured product right now, and it’s almost sold out! This is a limited edition item (Pokemon GO Plus+). This Pikachu in a sailor outfit is too cute for words! This place is really well thought out, the kids are loving it! There’s even a whole section dedicated to Chiikawa, with tons of merch that can rival Pokémon! Okay, I think it’s time for the parents to rest for a bit! There’s a Taiwanese lifestyle diner here. Let’s grab a bubble tea and see how it is! Now it’s time for afternoon tea! I’ve got a great udon spot to share with you, it’s right inside Kawasaki Station. The tempura is made to order, super fresh and delicious! We always stop by whenever we come back to Kawasaki Station from the city. The fried veggies and shrimp are both really good, but I highly recommend the mixed vegetable tempura set! The fried shrimp is a must-try, I always order extra! After our late-night snack, we’re going back to the hotel to show you the room we’re staying in tonight. Let’s take a look at our accommodation in Kawasaki. The bed on the left is an extra bed. If you don’t request one, there will be a double sofa instead. Then here, we have two large and comfy single beds. A fridge and a safe here. And here’s the restroom. This is the bathroom sink. And there’s even a big bathtub in the room! Just letting you know. Well, we’re off to bed now. Good night! Morning, everyone! Let’s check out the hotel breakfast! Here’s the drink section. There are soda drinks and coffee here. Here, you’ve got porridge with toppings and miso soup. The area behind is the hot food section. They make the omelette fresh when you order it. There’s soup curry, udon, and also mentaiko. And there’s fresh fruit and a salad bar. Here, you’ve got pancakes, bread, and toast. The juice station. The hotel tea is delicious! They have premium Japanese tea bags from TEARTH. Now, we’re taking you to another mall connected to Kawasaki Station. This mall is really spacious, and the layout makes it nice and leisurely to stroll around. Sometimes, they have events on the first floor of the plaza. This place has around 300 stores, it’s almost like an outlet. The floor plan is really easy to follow, and similar brands are grouped on the same floors. You can find tons of fashion, home decor, cool gadgets, and even electronics and 100-yen stores here, so no need to go all the way to Tokyo for shopping. After buying things, you can drop them off at the hotel and keep shopping. Now that we’ve finished with the outdoor part, let’s go check out the indoor shops. It’s a great shopping experience, and it’s totally not crowded on weekdays. Check out the brands and how the indoor area is laid out, it’s super easy to shop around. You’ll totally end up buying more than you planned! The best part is coming to Japan for the winter discounts and getting jackets. It’s such a steal! We’re also thinking of getting some clothes for the kids since the mall has tons of kids’ shops, and everything’s on sale. There are so many restaurants here, so you’ve got plenty of options for food. It’s a great place to spend half a day shopping and grabbing a bite. This video shared about the accommodations and shopping around Kawasaki. It’s really close to Yokohama from Kawasaki! If you’re planning to start your trip from Tokyo to Yokohama, staying in Kawasaki is definitely a solid choice. That’s all for today’s video, thanks for tuning in! Catch you in the next one. Bye bye~
