ハワイ旅行Vlog🌺4泊5日モデルプラン&費用公開|レンタカーなしで巡る王道&最新スポット+購入品紹介

Hi, I’m YURIE, a travel writer! This time, I’m sharing a 5-day Hawaii vlog! Be sure to watch until the end, including the haul in the second half of the video. It’s unfortunately cloudy, but for now, I’m taking a Lyft to the hotel. Again, Lyft was cheaper than Uber this time. Hi! I’m YURIE, a travel writer. Here’s another Hawaii vlog. As usual, I’m filming my 4-night, 5-day Hawaii trip in vlog format. I just arrived, but I’m heading out for lunch right away. Lunch is at Asahi Grill in Ward. I love their oxtail soup and always come back. There’s also a location in Kaimuki. The menu includes not just their signature oxtail soup but also fried rice and meat plate dishes, as well as ramen and curry. The curry looks interesting. As usual, I got the oxtail soup and fried rice set. I try to recreate the oxtail soup at home, but it’s pretty tough. I like dipping it in ginger and soy sauce—so good. The fried rice was a bit too salty, so I might go with white rice next time. Since I came all the way to the Ward area, I dropped by a boutique I always visit. It’s a select shop where I always find something I want. I was looking for swimsuits, but they said a big restock is coming this summer. Gotta check back. The Kakaako logo sweatshirt was so cute. I visited the Dean & Deluca in Kakaako for the first time. They have Hawaii-exclusive items too. Here’s what I was looking for! A dog treat my local friend told me about. I heard there are Hawaii-exclusive items, and even the packaging is adorable. They also have a selection of bread, sandwiches, and drinks, though limited. I’m taking a little break with some iced tea. This location has seating and is quiet—kind of a hidden gem. Lots of locals, and I saw people with their dogs too. While I was relaxing, it suddenly started pouring. It’s gotten chilly, so I’m taking an Uber back to the hotel. Time to check in at the hotel. I stayed on the hotel side last year, so this time I’m trying out the residence side. Renaissance opened in 2024, so everything is brand new and super satisfying. My room type is “Ocean View, Studio, 2 Queen.” The residence includes a spacious kitchen. It’s fully equipped with cookware and dishes, perfect for light cooking. There’s also a washer and dryer in the room, which is super convenient. The bathroom is large and modern—very comfortable. So happy there’s a bathtub too. Amenities include cotton pads, makeup remover, and a shower cap. Like most American hotels, they don’t provide toothbrushes. This stay was booked with points, so just for reference. The destination fee is $48 per day, and there’s a sheet explaining what’s included. It seems you can use it at hotel restaurants and such, so I recommend making use of it. They also offer a free shuttle to Waikiki, which is convenient if the timing works out. Happy hour before dinner. Using the hotel credit I mentioned earlier to enjoy a light drink. MARA is a Mediterranean restaurant located on the first floor of the Renaissance Hotel. Happy hour is weekdays only, from 4 to 5 p.m. Cocktails start at $10, wine at $12, and beer at $5—a great deal. We ordered hummus from the appetizer menu, which features shareable dips. I actually recommended their hummus in a previous vlog—it’s that good. We’ve moved over to Waikiki. We’re having drinks at Ka Ka’i (formerly Trump). It’s just after sunset and the vibe is perfect. We also got a great view of the Hilton fireworks that happen every Friday night. Dinner on the first night is at Arancino on Beachwalk. I love their focaccia. I’m getting the scallop carpaccio again—it was amazing last time. The tobiko on top adds just the right amount of saltiness. And of course, we had to get the uni pasta—it’s a must at Arancino. It’s the perfect portion for sharing between two people. Stopped by ABC Store before heading back to the hotel. I saw a sunburned Doraemon for the first time. The usual sunburned Hello Kitty now has a buddy. Good morning! Looks like the weather is nice for Day 2 in Hawaii. Getting coffee from the café on the hotel’s first floor. LAMILL Coffee is a specialty coffee roaster from Los Angeles. They also serve light meals and baked goods. As usual, I got an oat milk latte, but they had ube lattes and matcha lattes too. Lunch is the sushi I was looking forward to. Coming from the mainland U.S., the variety of Japanese food in Hawaii is amazing. The counter was full again. I always book as soon as I know I’m going to Hawaii. They offer a $150 omakase lunch, which is my go-to. We headed over to Ala Moana Center. I already posted a separate vlog about Hermès hunting in Hawaii, so if you’re interested, check it out. Shopping in Waikiki this afternoon. I didn’t know KITH and TUMI did a collab. Looks cool. Kind of want the left color. The ASICS I liked didn’t come in my size, so I gave up. This Hawaii-exclusive T-shirt is also super cute. Started drinking early today. I finally made it to El Cielo, a Spanish restaurant I’d been wanting to try. They even have a Japanese menu. I saw they had Txakoli, which I fell in love with in San Sebastián—had to get it. Had it with some Spanish ham. Also ordered the tripe stew in tomato sauce. No gamey taste at all—it was tender and delicious. As usual, our second round was at CAMADO for some izakaya-style food. In hot places, light beer really hits the spot. Had beer with bean sprout namul and gyoza—so good. Ended with ramen toppings and drinks. Wrapped up with shoyu ramen. We always end up at Kamado. Great when you miss Japanese food. They’re open late, which is rare for Waikiki, so I go there often. Back at the hotel, grabbed one last drink before MARA closed. From Day 3 onward, I’ll be solo, so I plan to take it slow. The pool was quiet in the early hours. Did a quick workout and started packing because I’m changing hotels. I’ll be staying two nights at The Laylow in Waikiki starting today. Last time I stayed here was right after it opened—about 8 years ago. This time, thanks to my Marriott status, I got a huge upgrade. Got assigned to a room way too big for one person. The bathroom had no tub, just a shower. They had their own original amenities. They had cotton pads, makeup remover, and swabs—but no toothbrushes. They even had a little welcome gift. Included chocolates, water, and an eco bag. The mini fridge was empty. There was a small lanai too—nice. This stay was also with Marriott points, so here’s the reference price. Standard rooms were going for around $328 depending on the season. I kind of want to relax in the room, but I’m heading out. I didn’t have lunch, so it’s a late one today. I drank too much yesterday and felt a bit hungover, so I went to TsuruTonTan. I was bummed they didn’t have my favorite spicy cod roe ankake udon. I got the duck udon instead. Does Hawaii’s TsuruTonTan let you choose noodle thickness too? They asked when I ordered, and I was a bit confused. Found a cute shirt at Ron Herman. It was too big for me, so I passed, but it was adorable. Been hooked on Aloha Collection since my friend gifted me one. The pouches are waterproof and lightweight—great for souvenirs too. Loved the colors on this one. First time actually going inside Waikiki Market. Came to look for souvenirs. This bento box? So cute. They had lots of Hawaii-themed items too. Going to have happy hour at The Laylow bar. It’s partially open-air and super breezy. Happy hour runs daily from 3:30 to 5:30, with beer from $5 and wine from $10. In December 2022, Wayfinder reopened after renovation. It features a poke bar and casual dining, brought by Foodland. You’ll find fresh poke bowls, craft beer, cocktails, and appetizers. I tried the garlic shrimp noodles I’d been curious about. So nice to get Foodland’s delicious poke right in Waikiki. I ordered poke à la carte, but they also have poke bowls. The garlic shrimp noodles were a bit oily. Personally, I recommend the poke. They offer takeout too, so I’ll be back for a poke bowl. Grabbing coffee from the café in the hotel lobby to head out. Hit the beach early while it’s still quiet. Came to Kawehewehe behind Halekulani. It’s known as a spiritual spot. I came early to avoid the crowds. I dunked myself in the water, but it was still before sunrise, so I got really cold after. Walked over to the beach behind the Outrigger. This area was quiet too—before 9 a.m. on a weekday. Great view of Diamond Head and such a nice vibe here. Had breakfast at a place nearby famous for acai bowls. Looked like a big portion. Got a classic acai bowl with peanut butter topping. It was pretty sweet—should’ve asked for less honey. It was pretty sweet—should’ve asked for less honey. Acai and peanut butter are such a good match. Back at the hotel now. Peeped into the shop next to the pool. Found the pouch I wanted and bought the pink one. Tried out the gym —it’s surprisingly well-equipped for a small hotel. The pool is small but perfect for relaxing. Waiting for my Uber lunch. Tired from going out all morning, so I’m eating lunch in the room via Uber Eats. Everyone loves Off the Hook poke—you can order it on Uber too. If you don’t have a rental car but want to try it, it’s a bit pricey but worth it. Might as well have a beer too. So happy I can enjoy Off the Hook in Waikiki. I love the ginger flavor, so try it if you order poke. Spent the afternoon editing, then met up with a local friend for dinner. Heading to SALT a bit early to shop before dinner. I always visit Here.—their selection changes every time and it’s always fun. Tried on a heart-cut tank top that was super cute. Tried on a heart-cut tank top that was super cute. I’m showing my haul at the end of the video, so don’t miss it. The store next to Here. had embroidered “aloha” sweatshirts and other Hawaii-themed goods. Finished up errands sooner than expected, so I stopped by a beer bar. They had a great selection of craft beers—I sometimes grab one to take back to the hotel. Found the mead I was looking for. Had a bit of time, so I ordered a half-pint of beer. They serve local Hawaiian craft beers too—love this place. Met up with my friend for dinner. Vein serves a fusion of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine. Every night from 4:30 to 6:00, pasta and appetizers are 18% off. I saw their pasta happy hour on social media and was curious. For starters, we had grilled octopus. Their popular mushroom risotto was fragrant and absolutely amazing. Last day in Hawaii. My flight is at night, so I’m making the most of it! Thanks to Marriott benefits, I got a late checkout—super helpful. Tried to go to Kona Coffee Purveyors in the morning, but the line was crazy, so I gave up. Ala Moana Center was empty—maybe because it’s a weekday. Aritzia, a Canadian brand, has lots of cute and affordable items. Great for Japan too—not as common as ZARA. I wanted to check out their activewear and was glad to see it in person. My main target was SKIMS, Kim Kardashian’s brand. I wasn’t confident about sizing online, so I decided to try it in store. You can buy Alo in California, but I always stop by when I see it. They have cute gym wear and casual outfits. Picked up a few pieces I’d been eyeing! Kona Coffee, which had a long line earlier, was calmer in the afternoon. Their pastries are popular too, but I only got coffee this time. You can also just buy the beans. Got my usual oat milk latte. There were tons of birds at the low outdoor tables—kinda scary. The high tables inside International Market Place felt safer. Checked out and left the hotel for a meeting. Got sleepy working by the pool and took a nap. Feeling refreshed now—time to enjoy happy hour on my last day! The bar counter was full, so I got a table. Happy hour is weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m. Turns out you can order from the happy hour menu even at the tables. Had loco moco for the first time this trip—perfect size. The mini portion is just right for me —never get tired of it. Added a glass of red wine too. Still had some editing to do, so worked at a café for a bit. Sunset time? Went for a stroll to the beach. Heading back to California soon and then flying to Japan, so I shopped for souvenirs at Sephora. Now you can get Glossier at Sephora—makes it easier to buy. Had time before my flight, so went for a last quick drink. Hadn’t been yet this trip, so my final stop was ZIGU. You can find Premium Malts beer everywhere in Japan, but it’s rare in the U.S., so I had to! Had a sticky appetizer with natto, tuna, okra, and more. Came with seaweed—you wrap it up and eat it. Finished with a ginger shochu soda. The second half of the video features my Hawaii haul! I’m back at my home in California. As usual, I’ll briefly share what I picked up in Hawaii. This time, the trip was pretty short—only 4 nights and 5 days—so I didn’t buy too much. I’ll introduce my Hermès items in a separate video, so here I’ll show souvenirs and clothes. First up, items you can only get in Hawaii. I got a hair clip from a store called “at dawn” in Ward Village. I already had the large black version and loved it, so I bought the smaller size this time. As for select shops, I also bought something at a store called “Here.” It’s located inside SALT. It’s a select shop, so not necessarily Hawaiian brands, but I bought some pajama shorts there. They’re unisex and run pretty big—I got XXS and it fit just right. For reference, I usually wear size S or M at Uniqlo. If you’re petite, a smaller size might be better. As for clothing, I got something from ALO, a popular activewear brand in the U.S. Unfortunately, a sale started the week after I bought it—30% off online. But the size I got wasn’t available online, so oh well! I saw the same series’ shirt online and wanted to get it too— It’s supposed to arrive later. It’s a set-up style, more like comfy casual wear than sportswear. It came in brown and pink, but the pink was a bit too sweet for me, so I chose brown. It’s a sweatshirt with a muted pink tone—totally my kind of color. I had a similar one before but got the wrong size (XS), so I plan to give it to a friend who’s more petite. Next up: ALO socks with non-slip grips on the bottom. They seem great for light workouts or bodyweight training at the gym. Also nice for ballet lovers. They have a crisscross design, and I bought one pair each for me and my mom. I’ll let her pick which color she wants. The Laylow hotel I stayed at had the cutest wallpaper, and they were selling pouches in collaboration with Aloha Collection. I bought mine at the shop next to the hotel lobby. It’s waterproof, so great for swimsuits or beach trips. This next item isn’t a purchase, but a gift from the hotel. I think it was for their 8th anniversary—a drink insulator. It should help keep your drink cold. Perfect for BBQs or beers. I also got a sea salt flavor Manua chocolate. This dog treat was recommended by a friend living in Hawaii. My parents have a Shiba Inu, so I bought two packs with sweet potato. There are two flavors—the other is peanut butter and blueberry. Since they don’t contain meat, you can bring them back to Japan. A perfect Hawaii-only souvenir. I bought these at the Dean & Deluca in Kakaako. Speaking of Hawaii exclusives, I got “MANOA mead” again. This time, I only brought back one bottle due to suitcase space. I chose the liliko’i (passion fruit) flavor. It’s a sparkling honey wine—perfect as an aperitif. I love it so much I’d honestly buy a whole case. I’m planning a few more Hawaii trips this year, so I’d love to visit their meadery next time. And one more alcohol-related item: I bought four beers from Hanakoa Brewery. I got them at a craft beer specialty shop in SALT Kakaako. The shop staff’s top recommendation was this “Hazy IPA.” I love hazy beers, so I bought two bottles. I also asked for something easy to drink and bought two more based on their suggestion. The labels had sumo wrestlers and looked very Japanese. One was a pilsner called “Rice Breaker” made with rice. The other was a blonde ale with a bit of richness, I think. Last but not least—items from SEPHORA, both for gifts and myself. Since I’m going back to Japan soon, I stopped by SEPHORA and found what I was looking for. First, a body butter with a fig scent—absolutely love it. It’s travel-size and in a plastic container, so very convenient. I also repurchased an eyebrow pencil I lost during my trip to Paris. It rolled under a shelf and I couldn’t retrieve it… It’s a slim and easy-to-use brow pencil by Refy. I bought the same “Light” shade I lost before. It’s really handy for filling in brows with precision. This time, I noticed they had more shades than before—it seems like one of SEPHORA’s featured brands. That wraps up my Hawaii haul—not a huge one this time. Thank you so much for watching the Hawaii vlog and haul until the end. I look forward to seeing you in the next video. Thank you for watching!!
