福井県美浜町に位置する「水晶浜海水浴場」は、その名の通り、水晶のように透き通った海と白い砂浜が特徴の人気ビーチです。環境省の「日本の水浴場88選」にも選ばれ、夏には多くの海水浴客で賑わいます。先端の尖った大きい岩が印象的です。

福井県敦賀市に位置する「水島」は、敦賀湾に浮かぶ全長約500メートルの小さな無人島で、その美しさから「北陸のハワイ」とも称されています。透明度の高いエメラルドグリーンの海と白い砂浜が魅力で、毎年夏季限定で多くの海水浴客や観光客が訪れる人気スポットです。
水島は、敦賀湾の沖合に浮かぶ小さな無人島で、地理学的には独立した「小島」です。砂嘴のように陸地から細長く伸びた砂の堆積によって形成されたものではなく、海底地形の隆起や浸食により孤立した島です。
