長野と新潟を結ぶ街道、通称「塩の道」。大町温泉郷はそのちょうど真ん中に位置しており、冬は雪の多い所です。雪国ならではのお料理やアクテビティが用意されていて、厳寒にも拘らず冬も人気のお宿です。

The spiritual place at the end of the approach…“Hoshino Resort KAI Alps”

Reopening of business in 2017, The local study “Deep Countryside Experience by Irori (sunken hearth)”

This is my third stay at the “classic but new” Hoshino Resort Kai.
Omachi onsen village is located right in the middle of the “salt road” that connects Nagano and Niigata. There is a lot of snow in winter. The inn is popular even in winter, despite the extreme cold, as it offers dishes and activities unique to the snow country.
*The “Deep Countryside Experience by Irori (sunken hearth)” is a local favorite, and the inn has kindly given us permission to photograph it.
