The Samurai Residences were originally built during the Edo period to house samurai who protected Matsusaka Castle, established by the warlord Gamo Ujisato. Even today, this historic district remains a rare sight, with descendants and tenants still residing here. 🏯✨

Interestingly, this very location was used as a filming site for “Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning”, starring Takeru Satoh and Kasumi Arimura! The scene where Yukishiro Tomoe (Kasumi Arimura) watches over her younger brother Yukishiro Enishi (Mackenyu Arata) was filmed here, making it a must-visit spot for fans of the movie. 🎥🎬
