①⛩️Furumine Shirne
Built over 1,300 years ago, Furumine Shirne enshrines Yamato Takeru no Mikoto, the ＂god of fire prevention.＂ It is said that it brings about the fulfillment of all wishes, including fire prevention, protection at sea, bountiful harvests, road safety, business prosperity, and good health.
It is also called “Tengu no Mori (the forest of a long-nosed goblin),” having been worshipped since ancient times as a shrine to fend off potential disasters that otherwise may fall upon worshippers.
🍁Kohoen Garden
The shrine garden “Kohoen” is located in the southwest of the main shrine. It is a vast Japanese garden, completed in 1977, taking advantage of the natural topography of Kohojingahara and the clear waters of the Oashi River. It was designed by Iwaki Kotaro, a representative landscape designer of Tokyo in the Showa era, and is one of his masterpieces.
Enjoy the autumn leaves on a scale that makes it seem as if the garden extends to the surrounding mountains.
②Oashi Valley
🏞️ The clear water from Oashi River flows through Oashi Valley making it a wonderful natural scenic spot. There are 20 waterfalls of various sizes. It is surrounded by broadleaf forests, and it’s also known for its good water quality and the rare aquatic life that inhabits it.
🍁There is an observation deck at the upstream waterfall, and in autumn you can enjoy the collaboration of the clear blue stream and the red and yellow autumn leaves.
📸The large maple tree at Shiraidaira Bridge is a photogenic spot. The vivid autumn leaves and the arched bridge above the clear is an art piece, and many tourists come to take photos during the autumn foliage season.

①⛩️古峯神社
1300年以上前に建てられた古峯神社は､祭神として“火防の神”日本武尊(ﾔﾏﾄﾀｹﾙﾉﾐｺﾄ)を祀っています｡開運､火防をはじめ､海上守護､五穀豊穣､交通安全､営業繁栄､身体健全など､あらゆる心願成就を導くとされ､また神使である天狗は飛翔して崇敬者にふりかかる災厄を除災するという信仰から､｢天狗の宿｣としても知られている｡
🍁古峯園(こほうえん)
社殿の南西部にあるのが神苑“古峯園”｡古峰ヶ原の自然の地形と大芦川の清流を活かして1977年に竣工した､敷地約25000坪の広大な日本庭園｡昭和の東京を代表する作庭家･岩城亘太郎による作庭で､代表作の一つ｡
四季折々の自然と､庭が周囲の山々まで広がっているかのようなｽｹｰﾙで紅葉を楽しむことができます｡
②大芦渓谷
🏞️大芦渓谷は手つかずの自然が残る渓谷で、大小20に及ぶ滝があります。周囲を広葉樹林が取り囲んでいて、透明で清らかな水が流れています。水質が良く、希少な水生生物も生息していることも魅力として知られています。
🍁上流の大滝には見晴らし台があり、秋には碧の澄んだ清流と赤や黄に染まった紅葉のコラボレーションを楽しむことができます。
📸白井平橋の大もみじは、フォトジェニックな撮影スポット。清流の上に鮮やかな紅葉とアーチ型の橋がマッチして、紅葉シーズンには多くの観光客が撮影に訪れています。
