ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2022年11月に香川県観音寺市にある「道の駅ことひき&琴弾公園&銭形砂絵」に行きました。

・道の駅「ことひき」
地域の名物や特産品を販売するショップや、新鮮な野菜などの産直市、ハンドメイドショップのほか、銭形砂絵にちなんだ「世界のコイン館」、地元出身の総理大臣大平正芳氏の業績を紹介する「大平正芳記念館」があるほか、大正ロマン香る「ことひきカフェ」など、多彩な施設があります。

・名勝 琴弾公園
瀬戸内海国立公園にも含まれる名勝 琴弾公園は約48ha（県立琴弾公園としては38.6ha）の広さを誇り、その中核をなす琴弾山の山頂や山麓には名所旧跡が
点在しています。
広大な園内には海、山、神社仏閣、史跡などがあり、「日本の歴史公園100選」にも選出されています。
自然や歴史を一日中満喫できる観音寺市の人気観光地です。
【見どころ】
銭形砂絵「寛永通宝」、有明浜、琴弾八幡宮
観音寺・神恵院、興昌寺など
・銭形砂絵「寛永通宝」
観音寺市といえば銭形砂絵「寛永通宝」と言われるほど、市内で一番人気がある観光スポットです。
有明浜の白砂に描かれたこの砂絵。
その大きさはなんと、東西122ｍ、南北90ｍ、周囲345ｍもあります。
一般には、江戸時代寛永の頃藩主を歓迎するために一夜にして造られたと言われており、この砂絵を見れば健康で長生きし、お金に不自由しないと伝えられています。
琴弾公園内の琴弾山山頂にある銭形展望台から見るのもおすすめですが、地上から見るとさらにその大きさが体感できます。
毎日、日没から午後10時まで点灯。
通常はグリーンですが、期間限定でゴールドやブルーにライトアップされます。

In November 2022, I visited the Kotohiki Roadside Station & Kotohiki Park & ??Zenigata Sunae in Kan’onji City, Kagawa Prefecture.
・Kotohiki Roadside Station
In addition to shops selling local specialties and local products, a direct-from-farm market selling fresh vegetables and other items, and handmade shops, there is a variety of facilities, including the World Coin Museum named after the Zenigata Sunae, the Ohira Masayoshi Memorial Museum introducing the achievements of local Prime Minister Ohira Masayoshi, and the Kotohiki Cafe, which exudes the romance of the Taisho era.

・Scenic spot Kotohiki Park
Kotohiki Park, a scenic spot included in the Setonaikai National Park, boasts an area of ??about 48 hectares (38.6 hectares as a prefectural park), and the summit and foot of Mt. Kotohiki, which forms the core of the park, are dotted with famous historical sites.
The vast park includes the sea, mountains, shrines, temples, and historical sites, and has been selected as one of the “100 Historical Parks of Japan.”
It is a popular tourist destination in Kanonji City where you can enjoy nature and history all day long.

“Kan’ei Tsuho” coin-shaped sand painting, Ariake Beach, Kotohiki Hachiman Shrine
Kanonji Temple, Jin’ei-in Temple, Kosho-ji Temple, etc.
-“Kan’ei Tsuho” coin-shaped sand painting
When you think of Kan’ei-ji City, you think of the “Kan’ei Tsuho” coin-shaped sand painting, which is the most popular tourist spot in the city.
This sand painting was drawn on the white sand of Ariake Beach.
It is an amazing 122m east to west, 90m north to south, and 345m in circumference.
It is generally said to have been created overnight to welcome the feudal lord during the Kan’ei period of the Edo period, and it is said that if you see this sand painting, you will live a long and healthy life and never have to worry about money.
It is recommended to see it from the Zenigata Observatory at the top of Mount Kotohiki in Kotohiki Park, but you can get an even bigger feel for its size when you see it from the ground.
It is lit up every day from sunset to 10pm.
It is usually green, but for a limited time it is lit up in gold and blue.
