Let’s enjoy another adventure in Northern Thailand, this time exploring the incredible province of Mae Hon Son.
Starting my day at the cozy Nunga Homestay in Pang Mapha, I set off on the final ride with Zelda through the stunning mountains of Northern Thailand. My first stop was Dekdoi Delicious Noodles, a charming eatery perched on a hillside with a view that stretched across the valley. The flavorful bowl of noodles, combined with the breathtaking scenery, created the perfect start to the day—a simple yet unforgettable moment that reminds me why I love traveling through this region.
Next, I made my way to the Coral Cave (Tham Pla Harn), a hidden gem near Pang Mapha. Exploring its fascinating limestone formations with a local guide felt like stepping into another world. Afterward, I rode further into the mountains, arriving at the tranquil Pang Ung Lake just in time for sunset. Often called the “Switzerland of Thailand,” this serene spot felt like a dream as I watched the reflections of the pine trees dance on the water. The following morning, I glided across the misty lake on a bamboo raft, soaking in the peaceful beauty of the moment.
The journey continued to Mae Hong Son, where I stopped at the iconic Su Tong Pie Bridge, a stunning bamboo walkway surrounded by lush rice fields. Before arriving at the B2 Premier Hotel, I visited a temple viewpoint overlooking the city, offering panoramic views of Mae Hong Son’s charming landscapes. This final ride was an emotional yet perfect way to say goodbye to Zelda, filled with incredible stops, serene moments, and the beauty of Northern Thailand’s winding roads.

Mixed emotions this week but hey that’s life when you revisit some places. Still had a blast and I will still go back year after year ❤
7.2K views in the first 9 hours. That’s what I like to see! I’m adding these places to my Google maps. Thank you!
Imagining all the set ups for the shots you get (which are wonderful, btw), it's amazing that you manage to get anywhere 😆
Your videos keep on getting better and better, I know one of your objectives for 2025 is to produce the best quality videos you can and I thought this was fantastic on so many levels. From the concept the storyline the personal journey to the music the scenes the imagery. When you watch a video and you focus on the story being told and you are interested from start to finish it’s a sign that everything you have done is high quality. When you watch a video and you notice elements of the production that detracts from the content it’s a sign not everything is as good as it can be but your videos always make me feel as though I’m on the journey with you which I’m guessing is the perfect result. Great work Paddy 😎
Hey, when can I come out and take a ride with you?
Your videos are class. But for 1 video can you not say "beautiful" for 1 whole episode 😅
Love your channel @PaddyDoyle 😊
Been watching you for years and really want to give you some props. You've been consistently showing up no matter what's going on in life and are really nailing it with this "minimalistic" format — less background music, extremely peaceful, & adding honeset / valuable narrative at the right moments. Wonderful
Love this video is so peaceful.. thank you so much for this video … keep the good work . I would like to be there moths 😊
Dont stop picking up that Sony, the colours are so rich. You're such a gifted filmmaker, you owe to yourself! Thank you for these episodes. Was so fortunate to be travelling Mae Hong Song at the same time. Awe inspiring and unforgettable.
I'm really enjoying this series. I've never been to northern Thailand but will make a point of visiting when I move over there in a couple of years.
One quick correction – that was Korean soju you were drinking. Not Japanese.
Nice video as normal paddy , I need to go back to this area to , maybe on my next trip to Los ❤❤
Brilliant trip. Camping at the lake looks good. The north constantly serves up amazing sunsets with the mountains silhouetted.
Nice job once again. I hope to spend some time in Mae Hon Son soon also.
👍👍👍
Everything has changed in this beautiful country. The people are kind and comfortable. There are many trees and forests. My first visit was in 1983 and I spent about a month there. The last visit was in 2002. I have many friends from Australia, Germany, America, Britain, as well as Arabs from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. I don’t know anything about them, but I hope they are fine and safe. Really, everything has changed. Thank you for this content. You have opened the doors of unforgettable memories for me.😔🥺
Some beautiful scenery and shots in this one Paddy ! Awesome video 📸❤
Hiya Paddy.
The intro. Stunning views.
Wow. What a view while drinking your coffee.
Your eye does look sore.
Always love your drone footage.
Wow, another gorgeous place to eat. What a view.
Great cave experience.
Shame no hot water.
19.03. What a vibe. So chilled.
Lovely video.
Sorry to hear you felt down.
Thank you for taking us along.
That ending, that weather was like the UK.
Happy Sunday.
Dude, we need to work on the socks…. Seriously… either proper knees high hickers, or no shows, ankles high in some other colors then white at the very least
Fashion police have been notified
😂
Congratulations. 280K Subscribers.
Another gorgeous video Paddy. We’re hoping to do the North of Thailand soon ourselves.
Keep the great content rolling! ☺️
Thanks Paddy another great road trip. Can't wait to get back up to that area again…..
Spent 6 days on the MHS loop in April in a hire car and was amazing… although a little smokey at that time of year.
You have given me a few new ideas for the next trip….
Where is next road trip to???
One of your best videos for me. Thank you.
Perfect duration video, the Sony camera isnt as pretty as the iphone footage you used to use. Still a nice video by a caring filmmaker.
Stunning scenery, absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. Great video love them 😊
Terd Thai is good visit, the village of Khun Sa, I think the museum is closed now but interesting part of the areas history. A good cave is Thum Pum a holy cave with spring inside, its near the monkey cave.
Love MHS❤ Safe travels🙏
My fav of all your travels is when you go on the motorbike …. Be well
So good watching this clip. It brings back many memories. 4 years before I get to retire in CM and call Thailand home 🥰

Hi. Where your Dreamy
What a life you are living, Kru Paddy. Your hard graft and attention to detail just shine through in your videos. Filming ten or so different shots of having a coffee for us seems like ten seconds or so, but surely takes so much time to produce. There have been times when I have ignored the channel (when your whining got a bit much lol), but having seen the effort that goes into making these 30-minute films, I have nothing but admiration for your "just keep getting better" mentality. A quick question. What exactly was that shrine for in the mountains? (Sorry if I missed it.). Anyway, just a big thank you and appreciation from me for what you do to entertain many people and all the hard work that goes into it. Keep living the dream. ❤🙏🙏
Looks like Minnesota with the pine tree 🌲
Looks like you have a blocked rear duct. Love your videos. Thanks
More of the sights less of your face please. Lol
Hi Paddy, thanks for another great vlog. You are an inspiration to travellers, providing glimpses of so many wonderful places , especially those with beautiful views. A video from which I will add more places to my bucketlist for when I get to Thailand, to retire there hopefully. Having been in 3 of these caves, 2 in South Australia and one in Thailand, this one will be on my list to go to. Lake is beautiful… a must go to also.
During January – February, many Thai people travel to hunt for cherry blossoms. Have you ever done this activity?
Unreal Paddy, such incredible views and spots of Thailand. Thank you for sparking some inspiration for my first trip to Thailand a couple of months ago visiting the southern islands. We visited smaller spots like Ko Yao Noi and Ko muk thanks to your videos highlighting these serene spots. And of course we visited Khao Sok National Park, absolutely breathtaking and I can see why it is no. 1 on your travel list. Keep it up mate, cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Hi Paddy, it's Korean soju, not Japanese.
