しっかりと整備されているので、スニーカーでも全く問題ありません😊
足元から伝わってくる地熱、周囲を漂う湯煙と硫化水素の香り（いわゆる硫黄臭と呼ばれるもの）、硫気に強い植物たち、取り巻く山々の遠望が渾然一体となった景色が魅力的。

STARTは、十和田八幡平国立公園、標高990mに位置する後生掛温泉（ごしょうがけおんせん）のすぐ前から…
入口に近いオナメ・モトメの源泉、紺屋地獄、大湯沼、pH1.8の強酸性の湯が噴出する中坊主地獄、大泥火山、マッドポット（Mudpot＝泥壺）が多い小坊主地獄など、熱湯や蒸気、硫気ガスが各所で噴出、火山活動のミニチュア版といった感じで楽しかったです。

撮影等していたので1時間半程度のんびりしましたが、2.7Kmとのことなので、40～50分もあれば一周できると思います。

Goshougake Natural Observatory Path

Explore this 2.6-km loop trail near Kazuno, Akita. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 39 min to complete. This trail is great for walking, and it’s unlikely you’ll encounter many other people while exploring.

On the nature trail, you can see interesting volcanic phenomena such as fumaroles called “Oname and Motome” with dark blue mud pools, “Mud Volcano” and more! You can also feel the breath of the earth as mud and fumes rise from many places along the park path.
