ニュージーランド南島の一人旅でミスだらけのドライブ体験!

ニュージーランド南島の一人旅でミスだらけのドライブ体験!

Over the course of 14 days, I embarked on a solo road trip through New Zealand’s stunning South Island, starting in Christchurch. My adventure kicked off with jaw-dropping views of Rakaia Gorge and Mount Cook Village, where I hiked to breathtaking glaciers despite battling jet lag and a sore throat. From there, I explored the turquoise waters of Lake Tekapo and braved the windy roads to Franz Josef Glacier. A helicopter hike at Fox Glacier was one of the trip’s most surreal moments, offering incredible views of a landscape shaped by time and nature.

As the journey continued, I found myself in awe of Milford Sound, often called the Eighth Wonder of the World, with its towering waterfalls and glacial sprays. An overnight cruise in the tranquil Doubtful Sound brought a sense of peace and wonder that I’ll never forget. The Catlins offered wild beauty, with stops at Kaka Point and Nugget Point, while a magical encounter with tiny blue penguins in Oamaru added a playful touch to the trip. Even Dunedin’s Baldwin Street, the steepest street in the world, was an unexpected highlight before I wrapped up with the unique rock formations at Moeraki Boulders Beach.

Though the journey wasn’t without its hiccups—running out of petrol and a minor car accident—it was a whirlwind of unforgettable moments and lessons learned. Each stop offered something extraordinary, from serene lavender fields to thrilling wildlife encounters. If you’re planning your own South Island adventure, this itinerary is packed with inspiration!
