南湖公園内にある白河藩主・松平定信公を祀る神社で、大正11年に渋沢栄一翁の援助のもと建立されました。境内には定信公の遺品や渋沢翁の書を収めた「南湖神社宝物館」があります。
Located in Nanko Park, this shrine enshrines Matsudaira Sadanobu, the lord of Shirakawa Domain, and was built with the support of Shibusawa Eiichi in 1922. Within the grounds is the Nanko Shrine Treasure Museum, which houses Sadanobu’s belongings and Shibusawa’s calligraphy.
