【一人旅山口編】日本最初の天神さま ぶらり旅 第466回「山口県:防府天満宮」-アクセス,駐車場,梅園,神社,学問の神様-Hofu Tenmangu Shrine,Yamaguchi
ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2022年9月に山口県防府市にある「防府天満宮」に行きました。

・防府天満宮
学問の神様として有名な菅原道真を祀る神社は全国に約1万2千社ありますが、最初に創建されたのはここ、防府天満宮といわれています。
京都の北野天満宮、福岡の太宰府天満宮とともに日本三天神のひとつに数えられています。
安産祈願や商売繁盛など様々な御利益がありますが、やはり合格祈願や学業成就を願って訪れる人が多く、境内にかかるあふれんばかりの絵馬には多くの願いが込められています。
正月の初詣、荒祭りとして知られる11月の御神幸祭（裸坊祭）など1年を通じてイベントも多く、多くの参拝者で賑わいます。
また、道真も愛した梅の季節には、梅をモチーフにした特別な御朱印や「出世梅」配布など約2週間にわたって梅まつりが行われます。

・Hofu Tenmangu
There are about 12,000 shrines across Japan that worship Sugawara no Michizane, who is famous as the god of learning, but it is said that the first one to be built was here, Hofu Tenmangu.
It is counted as one of the three Tenjin shrines of Japan, along with Kitano Tenmangu in Kyoto and Dazaifu Tenmangu in Fukuoka.
It is said to bring various benefits such as safe childbirth and prosperity in business, but many people also visit to pray for exam success and academic success, and the overflowing votive plaques hanging in the precincts are filled with many wishes.
There are many events throughout the year, such as the first visit to the shrine in the New Year and the Goshinko Festival (Hadakabo Festival) in November, known as the Ara Matsuri, and it is crowded with many worshippers.
In addition, during the plum season, which Michizane loved, a plum festival will be held for about two weeks, with special plum motif goshuin stamps and the distribution of “Success Plums.”
