【宝塚市】天然のタンサン湧出場（Natural Tansan spring field）
●湧き出るタンサン気泡
武庫川の底からブクブク…と湧き出る気泡が見えますか？これは炭酸泉の気泡です
（川の増水時には、気泡は見えなくなります。）。武庫川右岸に宝塚温泉場ができたの
は明治20年（1887年）で、その傍らには炭酸泉があったと伝えられています。
●宝塚市は「ウィルキンソン」ブランド発祥の地
明治２２年（１８８９年）頃、イギリス人のジョン・クリフォード・ウィルキンソン氏が、宝塚
で優良な炭酸鉱泉を発見しました。その後、宝塚温泉場の近くに炭酸水の瓶詰工場
を設けて販売を始めました。工場の近くには、欧風スタイルの「タンサン・ホテル」を開
業し、多くの外国人客が訪れたということです。世界中で親しまれる「ウィルキンソン」ブ
ランドのルーツは、実は、宝塚市にあったのです。

●Gushing Tansan bubbles
Can you see the bubbling up from the bottom of the Mukogawa River?
These are bubbles from carbonated springs(when the river water rises, the bubbles become invisible).Takarazuka Onsen was built on the right bank of the Mukogawa River in 1887,and it is said that there was a carbonated spring nearby.
●Takarazuka City is the birthplace of the Wilkinson brand
Around 1889,John Clifford Wilkinson,an Englishman,discovered an excellent carbonated
mineral spring in Takarazuka. Afterwards, he opened a carbonated water bottling factory near
Takarazuka Onsen. I set it up and started selling it. Near the factory, the European-style “Tansan
Hotel” was opened, and many foreign guests visited.The roots of the Wilkinson brand,which is popular all over the world, are actually in Takarazuka City.
