In this episode, join me as I visit Nipponia Shirataka Gennai Residence in Yamagata Prefecture, a beautifully restored historic mansion once belonging to a prominent local family. Our suite, “Kurenai no Yashio” is transformed from a storehouse built in 1921, offers a blend of modern comfort and rich heritage. From waking up to bamboo grove views to savoring an exquisite 6-course French fusion dinner paired with carefully selected drinks, this stay is a celebration of history and aesthetics.
