ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2024年11月に奈良県吉野町にある「吉野山」に行きました。

・吉野山

大峰連山北端約8kmにわたる尾根で桜の名所として有名。
谷や尾根を埋める桜は3万本ともいわれ、4月上旬から下旬が見頃とされる。
麓から下千本、中千本、上千本、奥千本と順に開花し、山を染めていく様子は見事。
この桜は、役行者が金峯山寺を開くにあたり、桜の木に感得した蔵王権現を彫って本尊とし、御神木として保護され、相次ぐ寄進を受けたことを発端とする。
春の淡い桜色とは対照的に燃えるような赤、黄、橙色に染まる秋の吉野山も紅葉のシーズンには山全体が覆われ、とても見事な光景となります。
ロープウェイからの眺めも絶景で、夜はライトアップイベントも楽しめます。
9～11月は秋祭りも盛大に行われ、自然散策と合わせてお楽しみ頂けます。

桜：4月上旬～中旬
紅葉：11月上旬～12月上旬

・竹林院

聖徳太子の創建と伝わる寺院で、格調高い宿坊としても有名。
護摩堂に安置されている聖徳太子坐像は南北朝時代の作です。
庭園の群芳園は千利休が作庭し、細川幽斎が改修したといわれ、 大和三庭園のひとつにもなっています。
また、宿もあるので宿泊も可能です。

拝観料：500円（群芳園）
拝観時間：8時～17時（年中無休）

・櫻本坊

桜の吉夢のご縁で天武天皇建立、天武・持統帝の勅願寺とされました。
神仏習合の修験道場です。
神変菩薩（鎌倉時代・重文）をご本尊とし、天武天皇ご念持仏 釈迦如来坐像（飛鳥白鳳時代・重文）、地蔵菩薩坐像（平安時代・重文）など数々の寺宝が
多く伝わります。
聖天堂には役行者ご感得の、日本最古の聖天尊（歓喜天）が祀られ、ご本地仏である十一面観世音菩薩が十月一日に特別ご開帳されます。

拝観料 大人500円（特別ご開帳中は1000円）
拝観時間　8：30～16：00

・𠮷水神社

もとは吉水院とよばれた、金峯山寺の格式高い僧坊だった。
明治初期の神仏分離令発令後、後醍醐天皇、楠木正成を祭神とする神社となった。
源頼朝に追われた源義経が静御前に弁慶らと身を隠した場所であること、南北朝時代に後醍醐天皇の行宮になったこと、豊臣秀吉が花見の本陣としたことなど数多くの歴史的逸話で知られている。
書院(重要文化財)には後醍醐天皇玉座の間や義経潜居の間、太閤秀吉花見の間などがある。
また、南朝の宝物を数多く展示しており、南朝の歴史にふれることができる。

拝観時間：09:00～16:30
書院拝観料：大人・大学生600円
　　　　　　高校生・中学生400円、小学生300円

・吉野山ロープウェイ

桜のシーズンを除き、朝の9時から夕方まで、上り・下り共に毎時間4本を運行しています。
日本最古のレトロな車内から見える吉野山の景色は、四季を問わず絶景です。

秋シーズン、2024年10月11日～12月２日の間の毎日運行。
・夜間運行日
１０月11日、12日、13日、18日、19日、25日、26日
１１月1日、2日、3日
・運行時間：17時50分～20時50分（毎時20分・50分両駅発）
・乗車料金：無料(17時20分までは通常運行です)

通常時は9時～17時まで約15分間隔で毎時運行。
観桜期は7時～19時まで約15分間隔で毎時運行。
料金：大人　片道450円、往復800円
　　　小人(4才～小学生まで)片道230円、往復400円

I went to “Yoshinoyama” in Yoshino Town, Nara Prefecture in November 2024.

・Yoshinoyama

A ridge that stretches about 8 km at the northern end of the Omine mountain range, famous as a famous cherry blossom spot.

It is said that there are 30,000 cherry trees filling the valleys and ridges, and the best time to see them is from early to late April.

The sight of the trees blooming in order from the foot of the mountain, Shimo Senbon, Naka Senbon, Kami Senbon, and Oku Senbon, coloring the mountain is magnificent.

This cherry tree was founded when En no Gyoja carved Zao Gongen, which he had felt, into a cherry tree and made it the principal image, and it was protected as a sacred tree and received successive donations.

In contrast to the pale pink of spring cherry blossoms, the entire mountain of Yoshino is covered in fiery reds, yellows, and oranges during the autumn foliage season, creating a truly spectacular sight.

The view from the ropeway is also spectacular, and you can enjoy light-up events at night.

A large autumn festival is held from September to November, which you can enjoy along with nature walks.

・Chikurin-in

A temple said to have been founded by Prince Shotoku, and also famous as a classy temple lodging.
The seated statue of Prince Shotoku enshrined in the goma hall was made during the Nanboku-cho period.
The garden, Gunpoen, is said to have been designed by Sen no Rikyu and renovated by Hosokawa Yusai, and is one of the three great gardens of Yamato.
There is also lodging available, so you can stay the night.

Admission fee: 500 yen (Gunpoen)
Opening hours: 8:00-17:00 (open all year round)

・Yoshinoyama Ropeway

Except for cherry blossom season, four trains run every hour from 9am to dusk, both up and down.

The view of Mt. Yoshino from Japan’s oldest retro train is spectacular in any season.

Operates daily during the autumn season from October 11th to December 2nd, 2024.・Nighttime operation days
October 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, 25th, 26th
November 1st, 2nd, 3rd
・Operating hours: 17:50-20:50 (Departures from both stations at 20 and 50 minutes past the hour)
・Fee: Free (normal operation until 17:20)

Normally, it operates every hour from 9am to 5pm at approximately 15 minute intervals.
During cherry blossom viewing season, it operates every hour from 7am to 7pm at approximately 15 minute intervals.
Fee: Adults 450 yen one way, 800 yen round trip
Children (ages 4 to elementary school) 230 yen one way, 400 yen round trip
