120)Kunohe Castle(Iwate, Japan)The final battleground of Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s unification of Japan.

It is located in Ninohe City, Iwate Prefecture.
It is said that Mitsumasa Kunohe built the castle between 1492 and 1501.
It was the residence of the Kunohe clan, a member of the Nanbu clan.
During Kunohe Masazane’s reign, it became the stage for the “Kunohe Masazane Rebellion” against the Nanbu family, the master family, and the Toyotomi government, which carried out the Oshu punishment.
The Kunohe Masazane Rebellion that occurred in 1591 is said to be Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s final battle to unify the country.
The Toyotomi side besieged Kunohe Castle with approximately 60,000 soldiers and surrendered and opened the castle with the promise of sparing their lives. However, the promise was reneged on, and the main ringleaders, including Masazane Kunohe, were executed, and it is said that everyone in the castle, including women and children, was slashed to death.
The Kunohe Masazane Rebellion is said to be the final act of Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s efforts to unify the country, but it is said that after Toyotomi’s army failed in the attack, historical facts such as plots, rebellion, and slashing were erased from history books.

This is a video of a 49-year-old bachelor who silently visited the castle by himself.
I am posting a visit record of historical remains such as castle ruins that I visited as I thought, based on the belief that I do not flock and do not flirt.
