Film Photography in Naoshima, The Art Island of Japan
From the likes of Yayoi Kusama to Lee Ufan, Naoshima is truly the art island of Japan. A home to many museums designed by Tadao Ando and countless beautiful sculptures in every corner of this island, I went there to capture an interesting subject to be photographer. But mostly, I just went there for the Pumpkin.

Wow.. love the story and the cinematic video here.. mantabs..
Incredible shots! The colors on film always feel so unique and nostalgic. Thanks for sharing!
Nice and calm video. I assume you did not do any post-processing to Colorplus shots? Due to the cloudy scenes, I think they are too green-ish 😅but it's just personal preference.
beautiful video! i recently went to naoshima too and it was really nice to watch your video and see familiar places through your eyes! 👏
Loved this video! You did a great job combining commentary with video footage and film photography. I enjoyed your zen tone and perspective a lot. Color grading is chef's kiss! I had a couple of notes though.
The first one is that inserting the footage of your talking head shots in your room at home really took me out of the video and was jarring. This is mostly because when I see that particular frame/setup, it's for product reviews, not for these sorts of vlogs. I would suggest dedicating some time to talking to the camera like this in your hotel room or when you're on location.
The second one is to get a mic for your camera for when you talk to the camera when you're out in the field. Case in point, the ferry footage when you're talking. Your audio could've been clean + crisp to match your footage.
The third one is if you're going to title your video "in Naoshima" then I would stick with only showing Naoshima. It's not that I didn't enjoy the Yokohama + Osaka section. But that should've been reserved for a separate video or I would retitle the video so viewers would know there's film photography in these cities as well in the video for clarity.
I hope this makes sense! I never leave such a long comment on a video but I haven't seen a video done quite like this before and want you to keep getting better because I would like to see more! I'm in the middle of shifting the content on my channel to more vlogs like this too so it's encouraging to see another creator on this platform thinking outside of the box! Keep it up 🙏🏼
Nice photo and video and I'm glad you've visited Japan many times and I'm looking forward to your next video.
