谷川岳は、群馬県利根郡みなかみ町と新潟県南魚沼郡湯沢町の県境にある山です。山頂部はトマの耳とオキの耳の二峰に分かれた双耳峰となっています。日本百名山、新日本百名山、ぐんま百名山、越後百山、新潟100名山、関東百名山、甲信越百名山、新日本旅行地100選の一つです。　
Mt. Tanigawa is a mountain on the border between Minakami Town, Tone District, Gunma Prefecture and Yuzawa Town, Minamiuonuma District, Niigata Prefecture. The summit is a twin-peaked mountain with two peaks, Toma-no-mimi and Oki-no-mimi. It is one of the 100 Famous Mountains of Japan, the New 100 Famous Mountains of Japan, the 100 Famous Mountains of Gunma, the 100 Famous Mountains of Echigo, the 100 Famous Mountains of Niigata, the 100 Famous Mountains of Kanto, the 100 Famous Mountains of Koshinetsu, and the New 100 Best Travel Destinations in Japan.
