Blessed by abundant water, vibrant blues, and pulsating life—this is a record of a journey through the breathtaking beauty of Yakushima.

The adventure began with a trek toward the ancient Jomon Sugi and through the serene, moss-covered forest. Listening closely to the songs of wild birds, I descended the mountain to find the deep, mysterious blue of the ocean stretching before me.

Traveling along the Seibu Rindo forest path, I was warmed by encounters with local Yakushima deer and monkeys before visiting the island’s iconic waterfalls: Ohko, Ryujin, Toroki, and Senpiro. Witnessing the dynamic power of water echoing like thunder, I deeply realized how this island has carved its long history through the endless blessings of water.
