Photographed on May 9, 2026, in Ozu City, Ehime Prefecture. Situated along the banks of the clear Hijikawa River, this historic castle town is known as the “Little Kyoto of Iyo.” It flourished during the Edo period as the seat of the Iyo-Ozu Domain (with a rating of 60,000 *koku*), and the old townscape and samurai residences remain to this day. The “Garyu Sanso” villa is also located here. It is also a filming location for the nostalgic NHK morning drama *Ohanahan*, a show that brings back fond memories for older generations.
