This time, we’re visiting Ikaho Onsen, one of the most famous hot spring resorts in Gunma Prefecture!

For this special couples’ getaway, we stayed at Hotel Kogure, the legendary ryokan with over 450 years of history and the oldest-established inn in Ikaho.

What makes this hotel truly extraordinary is its incredible hot spring supply. Hotel Kogure exclusively owns approximately one-quarter (25%) of Kogane no Yu (Golden Hot Spring)—Ikaho’s iconic natural hot spring source.

With its expansive open-air baths, standing baths, reclining baths, and a variety of other hot spring experiences, it feels like a hot spring theme park. While soaking in the free-flowing natural spring water, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the beautiful mountains of Gunma.

The highlight of the evening is the exquisite creative Japanese kaiseki dinner. Every dish is beautifully presented and crafted with seasonal ingredients, making it a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
