桜町のロータリーから、海へ向かってまっすぐ続く坂道を歩きます。

曲がりくねることのない、ほぼ一直線の坂。
静かな朝の空気の中、少しずつ近づいてくる海を感じながら下っていきます。

途中で出会った熊碓川。
「こんなところを流れているんだ」と、思わず覗き込んでしまう小さな発見もありました。

最後は、左手にトンネル、正面には海が広がる交差点へ。
坂のまち小樽の日常の風景を、ゆっくり歩いてお届けします。

A peaceful early summer morning walk in Otaru, Hokkaido.

Starting from the rotary in Sakura-machi, we walk down a nearly straight hill toward the sea.

Otaru is known as a town of hills, and each slope offers a different view of everyday life. Along the way, we discover the quiet flow of the Kumaushi River and enjoy the small moments hidden in the morning scenery.

At the end of the walk, a tunnel appears on the left, while the blue sea opens ahead at the intersection.
