After all the waiting, all the preparation and oversight, all the great bulldog gardening advice… Reuben has informed us that the first Mini-Me watermelon is finally ready for harvest. We have a lot to thank him for with all his supervision. Or do we?

  6. I’ve been watching a long time and my wife asks why do I torture myself? I’m 65 and lost my best friend Gus my bulldog 3 years ago. I watch you and do it secretly a lot of tines because I get emotional and it’s not what a guy born and raised in Texas is supposed to do. People that have never owned one have no idea the commitments it takes. They will drop like a stone if they fall in a pool. They will be dead as door nail in 30 minutes if you leave them in Texas heat for more than an hour. They slobber on everything and fart like something died. For me it was the funnest 9 years if my life. They require constant attention and it’s either wonderful or a disaster. They are not the kind of dog anyone should get that are not prepared to have a three year old for 10 years if you’re lucky. I’ve had a lot of dogs I loved over 65 years but there’s just nothing like them. People don’t realize 95 percent or more have to be born by a vet because it’s almost impossible for them to be born natural. It’s the biggest reason they are so expensive. I want another one so bad but I can’t. If something happens to me I can’t leave that responsibility to anyone else. I’m a tough old Texas country boy and I cried like a baby when I lost him and I didn’t shed a tear at any family funeral I can remember. Don’t know what that says about me other than I sure miss him. He was 93 lbs and my best friend.

  7. I was so disappointed too. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a mini watermelon. Well let's see if I can get a couple Ted next year.

  8. Aw Rueben, I'm sorry Mike didn't follow your instructions correctly, he is only a hooman❤😂❤

  9. Ooo poor Reuben ! Hopefully he does some dump and cover scratch out peal out zoomers on in the door soon ! Maybe after it cools down ! Then everyone will feel better as well !

  10. Reuben is, clearly, a confidence trickster. One minute he has to be carried then the minute he is racing towards the water melon.

  11. Gardening can be so rewarding…Then theres this😥…Best go to the Supermarket you owe Reuben a WaterMelon 😀

  12. For all that little guy has been through, might I suggest BUYING a nice watermelon and putting it out there for him to find over this holiday weekend?

  13. Professor Jones, Reuben Jones and his sweet but not so smart sidekick, student Dad Jones, on a quest. Will they be succed, the Professor will get a well deserved glory. If it fails, it will be, of course, the sidekick messed it up. 😊 Reuben Jones, a cousin to another handsome and dangerseeking Professor Jones. 🤠

  14. That's such a shame! Poor Reuben wanted that watermelon 🍉 so bad! But did you know that their are green watermelon that you can eat?? Better luck with the others!🍉🍉❤️
