The Pomeranian is the smartest and most active small dog breed.

This dog comes from Germany and is named Pomeranian from the oldest province, namely Pomerania in the 1800s. The name Pomeranian is taken from an old province in Germany called Pomerania.

They have dense, thick fur which makes them look like a living fur ball. Pomeranians have a small body and weigh about 1.8 to 2.7 kilograms.

They are known as intelligent, energetic and brave dogs. Pomeranians are also very attentive and love to interact with humans.

Despite their small size, Pomeranians are active dogs and need ample exercise and mental stimulation.

The Pomeranian dog’s life span is around 12 to 16 years.
