市川團十郎という歌舞伎界の巨星がこの世を去り、市川宗家の大名跡を襲名する重い宿命を背負った男、市川海老蔵。私たちのカメラは、そんな海老蔵に6年前から密着取材を開始。運命と闘いながら、歌舞伎の可能性を信じて、奮闘する海老蔵。2014年1月に放送した「疾風怒涛の“KABUKI”者 市川海老蔵に、ござりまする。」では、そんな市川海老蔵の歌舞伎に打ち込む日常に密着、ドキュメンタリーとしてお茶の間にお届けしました。しかし、実は、膨大な取材映像は、まだまだ存在していました。そこで、「日テレかわら版 市川海老蔵に、ござりまする。」では、そんな未公開映像の数々はもちろん、更に新しく取材した映像も交え“誰も知らない市川海老蔵”をたっぷりお届けします!

エピソード2「ABKAI新作舞台誕生の裏側に密着」

2014年8月新橋演舞場で行われた「市川海老蔵 第二回自主公演 ABKAI 2014」。古事記をモチーフに作られた新たな舞踊劇「SOU～創～」。海老蔵演じる日本神話の神･スサノオの迫力あふれる舞台がどう出来上がっていったのか? そのメイキングを一部公開。稽古の過程で海老蔵自身のアイディアが次々と形になっていく。観客を圧倒した踊りが作られる瞬間をカメラは目撃した。

    So they let you come back?????? If you were Joaquin Cortes (Flamenco), and did the same thing, they would say "Ole", and admire you for being a man! I know that you all are steeped in tradition, but thank GOD they don't ask for seppuku anymore! I think you deserved to keep on working. You have children who need you, so does your wife, and I hope this incident brougt you down to earth a little bit. You are mortal, you make mistakes, your poo stinks like everyone else's, and regardless of your status, with great power comes great responsibility, and you are an example to everyone who loves your art.
