［ウエストパームビーチ（米フロリダ州）２９日　ロイター］ – トランプ米大統領は２９日、ベネズエラで船に麻薬が積載されるとされる区域を攻撃したと明らかにした。トランプ政権がベネズエラのマドゥロ政権に対する圧力を強める中、ベネズエラで初めて地上作戦が実施された可能性がある。

トランプ氏は「船に麻薬を積み込むドックがある区域で大きな爆発があった」とし、「われわれは全ての船を攻撃する。今回はその区域を攻撃した。（船への麻薬積載が）実施される区域はもはや存在しない」と述べた。

現時点ではどの部隊が攻撃を行ったのかは明らかになっていないほか、何が具体的に標的になったのかも分かっていない。トランプ氏は、米中央情報局（ＣＩＡ）による攻撃だったのかとの質問に対し「言いたくない。誰が攻撃を実施したかは分かっているが、明らかにしたくない」と述べた。ただ、トランプ氏はこれまでにＣＩＡによるベネズエラでの秘密作戦の実施を承認したと明らかにしている。

トランプ氏が明らかにした今回の攻撃について、ベネズエラ政府は今のところ反応していない。現地報道なども今のところ確認されていない。
