[ワシントン ９日 ロイター] – トランプ米大統領は９日、パレスチナ自治区ガザでのイスラエルとイスラム組織ハマスの停戦合意について「忍耐を失いつつある」と述べた。
ハマスは８日、イスラエル人の人質３人を新たに解放。映像では人質３人は痩せ細って衰弱している様子で、トランプ氏はこの映像を見てホロコーストの生き残りのようだとコメントした。 もっと見る
トランプ氏がガザを巡り、パレスチナ人が別の土地に再定住した後に米国が掌握し、経済発展させるという計画を提案して以来、人質全員が解放される前に停戦合意が破綻するのではないかと懸念が高まっているが、人質映像を見たトランプ氏の反応により、合意の先行きにさらに暗雲が広がることとなった。
米ナショナル・フットボールリーグの王座決定戦、スーパーボウルに向かう途中、大統領専用機エアフォースワン上で、人質は「ホロコーストの生き残りのようで、ひどい状態だった」とし、停戦合意があることは分かっているが「いつまで我慢できるか分からない」と語った。
また、パレスチナ人がガザから去った後、米がガザを所有する計画に引き続きコミットしているとも発言。他国がガザ再建に参加する可能性もあると述べた。
