13ft tsunami-like waves hit Peru and Ecuador coastline

Tsunami-like waves measuring 13ft high hit the Peru and Ecuador coastline on December 27,2024 sinking boats and killing at least three.

Footage from Piura captures the moment the wave approached the coast, causing powerful swells.

Coastal resorts have been told to seek shelter inland with waves expected to persist until New Year’s Day.
