Naomi needs to learn and figure it out again. Almost everyone in the wta are hard hitters now. You cannot just outhit anyone easily. She needs to adapt to the new "environment." Also, her physical aspect changed for sure after motherhood. I hope she finds that balance and see which tactics would work on her current fitness level. This match could have gone either way. Naomi's dominance could come back, once she has figured it out.
If Niaomi gets her shot depth back from 2021, she will be top 5 in matter of a few months.
Caroline Garcia was constantly losing to Naomi Osaka in power. Osaka played brilliantly and deserves this win. Congratulations to Osaka and I wish her luck in the next match.

Naomi is hitting that serve with some real power, and her game is looking very sharp. I cant wait to see how this season goes for her. If she can stay healthy and train hard, she will be doing very, very well.
More topspin by Osaka delivering a heavy ball. Starting to read the play better and anticipating the ball. Considering only a few matches back she’s picking up in this quickly. Movement isn’t there yet but I’m sure her foot speed will continue to get back each match. If she stays healthy she could win US Open this year..

Osaka played well, but Garcia? She's been playing so badly
Caroline a dominé les neuf premiers jeux du match, avec ses jeux de service remportés facilement et ceux de Naomi très disputés, puis elle s'est mise à dérailler alors qu'il lui restait juste trois points à marquer sur son service pour remporter le premier set. Au lieu de ça, elle a fait quatre fautes d'affilée : coup droit dans le filet ou trop long, et plus de première balle. Contrairement au précédent match contre Naomi à l'AO, elle n'a pas su maintenir son niveau de jeu en enfonçant le clou lors des points importants en fin de sets.
Vamos
