The 6821 Quintet performs Mamiko Hirai’s “Portraits Of Sakura – Memories of Cherry Blossoms.” The piece was specially commissioned by the 2017 National Cherry Blossom Festival for The 6821 Quintet produced by Ryuji Ueno Foundation and was performed at a very special concert at Evermay.

The 6821 Quintet is named for the distance between Tokyo and Washington D.C. The 6821 Quintet consists of international artists coming together to fulfill the understanding that music brings disparate cultures together.
