10日に行われた参議院選挙で自民党は大勝しましたが、安倍元首相の死去を受け、岸田首相などに笑顔はありませんでした。
自民・公明の与党は合わせて76議席を獲得。参議院の過半数を大きく上回り、安定した政権基盤を手に入れました。その一方で、岸田首相は、憲法や防衛費について積極的に発信し、批判の矢面にも立ってきた安倍元首相を失い、今後、政策の必要性を自ら明確に説明する必要があります。
元首相の死を悼み、官邸では半旗が掲げられました。11日午後2時半すぎには、安倍元首相の棺を載せた車が通夜の会場に向け出発。車の助手席には昭恵夫人の姿がありました。都内の増上寺で午後6時から通夜が、12日午後には葬儀が営まれます。
