Chief Uematsu (Sakuma Tetsu) attempts suicide. Inspector Otonashi Ichiroku (Kohinata Fumiyo) was in the middle of interrogating the suspect after receiving a letter of accusation.
Meanwhile, stalker murderer Kijima Yuichi (Abe Ryohei) is stabbed to death after being released from prison, and Yuichi’s mother Yasuko (Lily) breaks down in tears, claiming that he was falsely accused.
Detective Inspector Satsukime Chitose (Kyono Kotomi) and others are having difficulty with their investigation. Ichiroku, who has begun inspecting the investigators, points out that they are not reading too deeply into the matter.
