26th April is a milestone for the new Taiwanese airline Starlux as it launched its first long-haul flight to Los Angeles, CA. The chairperson of Starlux, Chang Kuo-Wei 張國煒 personally flies the A350 flight as the captain.
I was invited to fly in Starlux First Class. There are just 4 First Class fully enclosed private suites in the front and 26 Business Class suites on the Starlux A350-900. Starlux Airlines started operation at the beginning of 2020; the worst time in aviation history. The airline persisted and now flies 20 brand new Airbus including 13 A321neo, 4 A330neo and 3 A350-900.

I flew this Plane with Starlux from Taipei to Singapore and it was awesome! Great seats made by Recaro! even the Economy seats are very good. Ther service and food on board was fantastic! The plane is quiet and very stable even when landing in rain. looking forward to flying with them to LA or SFO in the future! Cheers and great review as always!

by far, i flew couple of times EVA this year from TPE and TSA both, every time food was a total disaster, and Starlux meals to LA are made by EVA air catering,
if Sam you said food is incredible on Starlux LA flight, then there's only one possibility left, EVA air has a catastrophic and pathetic management over their own label meal service, either incompetent or intentionally sabotage customer's experience
just a matter of time, CI and EVA will go down for sure

Boeing is the OG of cockpit layout. Its easy to find your way around. Airbus has always been sidestick controls.
They must have created a lot of demand for left handed pilots! Kind of whacked to fly a plane with ONE hand!
Calm down folks, it's the inaugural flight n Sam Chui was there, of course service was top level. I am sure Starlux is nice and service is good, but the regular service probably will not be as good as this.
Their price as of now Lax to MNL is low,est, it is just that lay over in taipei is long. total flight hours is 38 hrs. that made me think twice.
