These Beauty Tips are my advice on how to keep your skin in optimal health, especially if you wear makeup, you want the skin to be in tip top condition.
This video will show you how to make a DIY toner from home, which has completely natural ingredients. I use a generous amount of essential oils, because I find that it is effective, and suits my skin well.
Have a spritzer bottle, preferably glass, ready. Put enough filtered water in it to last for about a week or so.Find a selection of essential oils to suit your needs. You can look them up on the internet, or go to an aromatherapist for a massage, and advice.
I use a combination of Frankincense oil- to balance my sebum and relax my muscles, which is anti aging because it relaxes or prevents wrinkles. Ginger oil- as a stimulant to warm my skin. Geranium Rose oil- to tighten the pores and to balance and soothe or calm my sensitive skin. Peppermint oil- to soften my skin and Tea Tree oil- for it’s antibacterial and antiseptic properties, it keeps the skin clean and pimple free. I then add about two pinches of coarse sea salt for an extra cleansing toner.
Screw the lid on the bottle and let the salt dissolve before use. Always shake the bottle before each spritz. When you have spritzed your face, you’ll notice a feeling of slight crystallization on your face. That is the dried sea salt. You must wait for the toner to dry on your face before moisturising and then, when you moisturise, the sea salt crystals will be absorbed into the skin.
I don’t recommend using essential oils during pregnancy. Some oils are strong and can harm the baby so I advise that proper research has been done either on the internet or by advice of an aromatherapist. Some people may have certain allergies to oils, so please try each selected oil by applying 1 drop onto your wrist to see how it affects you, before using it on your face.
The first few times of using the spray, my face stung a little, and that is why you must wait for it to dry before moisturising.
If you don’t like to spray your face, you can always spray your hands, and then gently massage it into your face, or spray a cotton pad and wipe your face with it.
It is a very fresh, invigorating toner.
