Skincare: The Oil Cleansing Method http://youtu.be/KgHNkDV3o8I
So, I know that Washing your face with oil is very controversial. Some love it and others have not figured out their perfect recipe and so they absolutely hate it. Then there are those people, with oily skin, who run away at top speed and go into hiding at the mention of putting Oil on their already oily face. Well, congratulations media and big cosmetic companies! You have succeeded in getting many people to believe the myth. Luckily, there are scientists and naturalists, such as myself, who are out here spreading the word about the amazing skin benefits of oil washing! Check out this short and ultra informative video. This is also a great video for people who have tried oil washing, but encountered problems. This video may help you figure out why your remedy was not working for you! Especially if your remedy was Extra Virgin Olive or Organic Unrefined Coconut Oil. Many people find that the ultra heavy Olive Oil does not work well for them for oil washing. And as for Coconut Oil…well, it’s 50/50 shot. Enjoy the vid’ and check out all of my links and other useful information below! 🙂

My Personal Oil Cleansing Combination:
Sweet Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Seven Elements Oil and Castor Oil. You can view the ingredients and purchase Seven Elements Oil here: http://www.naturesaddiction.com/collections/368199-hair-body-oil
I have to dilute the Seven Elements Oil, because the ratios of essential oils are geared more for hair and body, and are therefore irritating on my face. Diluting the oil gives me the perfect ratio for my sensitive, combination skin.

Those people with oily skin, may be able to use undiluted castor oil as their wash. Keep in mind, castor oil can be very drying when used by itself. Oil cleansing is also great for removing makeup. Oily skin will use 2/3 castor oil to 1/3 carrier oil, Normal skin will use half castor and have carrier. Dry skin will use 1/3 castor to 2/3 carrier oil. Do not use refined oils, as the nutrients have been stripped away, which leaves the oils full of free radicals that are damaging to skin cells. As will anything, be careful1 of allergies and pay attention to which oils or ratios irritate your skin. Carrier Oils that are good for washing Oily Skin include Hazelnut and Sunflower. Normal-Oily: Sweet Almond, Grapeseed and Sunflower. Normal-Dry: Grapeseed, Jojoba, Apricot. Dry: Avocado and Apricot. If you have an acne breakout when you first begin oil washing, this is normal. The breakout could be your skin purging itself. On the contrary, however, it could be that you need to try a different oils ratio/combination. Adding a few drops of essential oils to your wash will increase benefits and effectiveness. Recommended oils include geranium, rose, lavender, frankincense, chamomile, tee tree, thyme, peppermint and ylang ylang. Small amounts of Argan and Sea Buckthorn Oils have also been proven to show additional benefits. If you have persistent acne or acne scars, consider adding a tiny amount of Tamanu oil. To cleanse your face, you do not need to prep your face in any way. Simple apply the oil to clean hands and begin applying it as you would a face wash, in circular, upward motions. Massage for 2min. Allow oil to sit and penetrate for 30sec-2min. Using an extremely warm (but not hot) dampened face cloth, wipe your face very well. The water on the towel must be warm enough to melt the oils, but not burn your skin. I use a Bamboo face cloth, as it is extremely soft, lint free and the charcoal offers other skin benefits. I wash my towel in cold water with a gentle cleanser and rinse in diluted vinegar. I hope that this video has been helpful to you.

Would this work on SUPER dry skin? With my Psoriasis my face is extremely dry. Normal moisturizers do nothing for my face. What would be the best combo? And I got your package and can't wait to try them out! Thank you!
Great information & video! Two questions: Where did you purchase your Bamboo face cloth & how often do you do this oil cleansing?
I'm just starting this … my skin use to be extremely oily however after using proactive for years now I'm proactive free and now my skin is super dry I'm so confused …. but anyways which oil do you recommend to use for after washing jojoba oil leaves me too shiny lol
O never mind I just read the description sorry I'm new to this utube
Your skin is very beautiful and I love the way you narrate your videos!
Great info Thanks. I have combination skin and I wear makeup and I've been cleansing my face with almond oil for like 2 months now and before that jojoba so I don't have a mix going on. I have acne prone skin and scars. Also I feel like the oil cleansing method or I may be doing it wrong but my face doesn't seem like it's getting thoroughly clean. Even after using my witch hazel rose petal toner. Well I need help with what I need to do with this method please Thanks.
