It's not about how to apply retinol but more about what it is also included in your retinol product that matters. Tretinoin, retinol and Retin-A stimulate skin cell turnover, meaning it speeds up the process of shedding old skin cells and generating new ones. Tretinoin and retinol are both vitamin A derivatives used in skincare, but tretinoin is a prescription-strength medication, while retinol is a gentler, over-the-counter option. Tretinoin is a more potent form of retinoic acid and can lead to faster results with a higher risk of irritation, whereas retinol requires conversion to retinoic acid in the skin and is generally better tolerated. I use and highly recommend the natural Kojic Acid soap by Skinlyte. It has Kojic Acid, Retinol, Collagen, Vitamin C, Glycerin, Hyaluronic Acid, Olive Oil, Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Turmeric. You can find it on Amazon by searching for Skinlyte. Kojic Acid is a natural tyrosinase inhibitor that prevents the formation of dark spots/hyperpigmentation caused by inflammation. For the fastest and best results, use the soap as a leave in mask or serum by wetting it and applying it directly on your dark spots (hyperpigmentation) and acne after washing with it. If you apply it daily and directly on the acne, it will heal in 3 to 5 days and leaves no dark spots or scars. It is all natural and without synthetic chemicals like fragrance (hidden phthalates which are endocrine disruptors) or colors that cause irritation and redness. As such, it can be left on the skin all day and used as a serum or mask after washing with it.

Have you noticed that even though these people promote these "great" products, they all look older than their age? I'll stick to my natural solutions which grant me a look 20 years younger than my age. I'm constantly mistaken for a much younger person.

Retinol is great but I really believe it's way too over hyped. If anything then Tretinoin (Prescription). Anyway, I have tried almost everything to look younger + delay aging as much as possible, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and of course Retin A (7 years straight), home devices and what not. However, nothing made any real difference compared to the high-quality derma pen I purchased for around 200 bucks. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm 18 again, but definitely not 48 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less are nonexist (Never had jowls though). People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin.
I'm almost 68 y.o. I use a moisturizer with just cocoa butter, glycerin, and other moisturizing ingredients. I don't have wrinkles except for crows feet. I think genetics has a little to do with how we show age.

This is the same “pea sized amount” I be using and they tell me it’s too much. I’m starting to think Dermatologist are gatekeeping the actual correct sized amount for themselves.
